how do I do that, restore, I thank-you for help with is you must think I am abit daft, I do not do things like this , its not me, but they were very good at what they were doing.

because they were using the mouse and not me.

they took over and moved the mouse filter to differnet things on the computer , and he kept telling me what was wrong.

Just had the same thing this morning.

I'm an ICT Support Officer and was having a few days off at my parents. They'd gone out and I was catching up on some emails when the phone rang and was displaying a international caller ID.

I answered the phone and the guy at the other end of the phone asked to spake a senior member of the house, I told them my parents were out but could I help.

He asked "Are you using a computer?" to which I answered "Yes"

Now I could bore you with the rest of the story but in short he told me they were receiving error messages from my PC and then he took me to the services section of Windows 7 and showed me that some were "Stopped" and that was the problem and if not attended to I may need to buy a new computer it was that serious.

I got bored after about 30 mins and basically told him where to go.

Long and short of this, if you get these guys on the phone HANG UP!!!

Just to warn people, ive just had these people call me up, i got to the bit where they wanted me to let them have access to my computer - i said no and put the phone down. I thought at first they had said they were from BT (must have been PC) and they were ringing everyone in my area.

Now ive found this thread, im very glad i did!
