I replied to this sort of thing on another thread. If you successfully file an npb and the buyer gets a strike and you get your fees back - you can leave a neg, if they leave a neg it will not show on your feedback - simislar to if you both withdraw feedback i guess. If you read the small print....lol here it is, just had to check I was right

If a buyer does not respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller closes the case with an Unpaid Item strike, the buyer can still leave a feedback comment about the transaction, but any feedback rating they leave will not appear and will not count toward the seller?s feedback score. An eBay administrative note will appear under the buyer?s feedback comment, explaining that the buyer did not participate in the Unpaid Item process.

Then that makes you as bad as them because you are 'scared' to report them in case it adversely affects you.
What if they've done is 10 times already and they've no negs for it? People will think they're great buyers and other sellers will continue to suffer.

Have some b@lls man! Any buyer with any brain can check feedback and SEE any retaliatory negs.
It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.

Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.

But if the buyer answers the NPB dispute he can still leave negative feedback and both the rating and comment will count.

I empathise with the seller to be honest.

    Funny that. I don't.

Im a powerseller too and intuition tells me with 6000 feedbacks he sells small electrical items, phone covers etc? am i right?

    Not even close.

If you opted not to take postal insurance then as a seller he will not have proof of postage reciept or a tracking code. So in the eyes of paypal for some stupid reason you will be given the benefit of the doubt.

The stupid reason being: "I haven't received anything, and the seller can show no evidence he ever sent anything", presumably?

Is it really fair that in opting not to pay insurance than the seller is thus out of pocket?

    Yes.

The items concerned are coins, and therefore not covered by a certificate of posting or recorded delivery. Special delivery would be required for insurance.

However, if the seller had a certificate of posting, I would know he had posted something. I would believe the items to be lost in the post. In that instance, I would empathise with the seller, and would be prepared to go 50/50 on the loss - I'm a reasonable bloke.

All I have is the seller's word. "Yeah, I posted it." That's not worth an awful lot. I would not post any item without proof, and I expect sellers to have the sense to do the same. I don't think that's unreasonable.
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

This is his reply to my initial PayPal complaint:

"Hi As stated delivery is at your own risk, terms and conditions are clearly stated, you refused insurance, 2 non payment strikes and negative feddbacks will be issued, on completion of claimback due to theft."

    So, now I'm a thief too...

    That'll be libel then. :naughty:

  • He can state that delivery is at your own risk until the cows come home. Doesn't make it true.
