In our bedroom the TV is positioned so I can just about see it whilst on the Loo, my wife is exasperated by this.
Women are from Venus - men just watch telly on the loo.
    Jealous!!!

  • when I go over the OH house, I end up reading shampoo bottle on the loo cause I forget to take my own reading material. It's a habit I've got into but does occasionally lead to me sitting there for too long and people start shouting for me to get out.

  • Im a man & I read in the loo. Sounds like the opening sentence in an AA session.

Maybe we should use a name like "Loo anonymous"

    What's the problem?
  • I hate going to the loo without soemthing to read....for some reason I just don't feel as though as I have had a full 'experience' without a good read....lol.
Often I have to search for something to take in with me.....even DDs teen mags and wifeys Hello etc have come to the rescue!!!?!!!?!

  • I'm never there long enough and wouldn't do it either way. I find the idea pretty unpleasant. I'm male. I suggest that some people's diets or health conditions mandate a longer time spent, enabling reading. For me, it's almost always over in less than two minutes, start to finish

Can't say I do, but we have a sign in our downstairs loo if anyone wants to do any reading which says " Guys, stand closer - it may be shorter than you think":)
  • I'm female & have read on the loo as long as I can remember. (constipation is a family problem lol). Now I have children so don't always have a book on the go (I can't put books down I have to finish them - I read very quickly but even so not good to ignore the kids & the house too much lol esp as a single mum) & if not got a paper or something to read then I play games or read facebook on my phone - tho sometimes that's too much of a distraction from pooing lol n have to stop n concentrate for a bit till it's started lol. do get the dead leg sometimes cos got too distracted lol!!!

Of COURSE I read in the loo. Old age doesn't come on its own, so I find I spend a lot more time in there than I used to. I'd hate to simply waste all that time just staring at the wall !
  • I love reading and checking up on e-mails when on the loo. It is otherwise wasted time and as an OU student it's a great time to catch up with some work.:j

My boss admitted to us a couple of weeks ago that she used to do that, and once dropped the remote control down the toilet because of it! :rotfl:
