I'm a lady who reads on the loo, in fact I sometimes do the sudoku there too. It's a way of escape for me, with two children under 5 it's all about finding 5 minutes to yourself0

Never!!! I rush in when it is fairly desperate and get out as quickly as possible.
Why would anyone want to sit waiting for a poo? Unless they were were skiving at work of course.:rotfl:The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.0 -
I read, I like to make sure there is at least one book in my bathroom or I take one with me! If I don't I end up reading the back of shampoo bottles or a tampon leaflet or something equally riveting
I could probably tell you most of the ingredients for the toiletries we have o
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Think we need bookshelves in our bathroom. OH reads massive books and I read newspapers. When I was young there were always copies of Readers' Digest in the loo!Ooh, I've gotta little star! What's that for then?!!0

delain are you a girl or a boy?
im a girl and i hate the thought of reading in the loo
its disgusting
to imagine you sitting there pants round ankles, god knows what down the pan and your happily completing the crossword
and yeah its the hygene aspect too, luckily my OH only reads fishing mags in there so no danger of me touching them but look up how many germs you get on mags in dr's waiting rooms, how many would be on that book/mag you leave in the toilet??
i really dont understand why you do it
can you not find a nicer place to get 5 minutes, and any case im not allowed to pee on my own never mind read in there with my LO'sI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Sometimes take the local free paper to look at in there. Taking a book in can be a bad idea, just in case you get hooked and do not want to move. Can prevent circulation to the legs and the prevention of being able to stand up again.0

Yeah, all the time, what's the problem?? Although it does mean I definitely have to have the light on (otherwise I try to leave it off as the fan that comes on with it is deafeningly noisy!)0

I'm a girl!
It's unusual to see me without a book though.
Funny in my house you can't say you're popping to the loo because there will be a massive stampede of small people who just have to go right now before you do. In fact that's what I do when we're going on a long journey, I start to head up the stairs and casually say I'm just going to the loo :rotfl:
Oh and if you manage to sneak in without them noticing it doesn't take long before they are all hammering on the door saying you need to come out because
'I need a wee right now/my sister bit me/I have to have my lunch it's 1pm/the cat is outside' or some other mysterious reason.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Girl who reads on the loo. The only place I wouldn't read is in the shower because the words would start to run!0
