I've just been looking at the plan actually and you get a cash lump sum on the birth of a child, but there is a 12 month qualifying period. I am hoping that is a sure-fire way of getting a BFP in the next 3 months so I'm going to join.
I'm with PruHealth, but it won't cover anything abroad:o

Better check DH's work health insurance. Problem with that is, all claims has to go through his boss, and he doesn't want other people knowing about our fertility probs:o

Good morning, I'm having my first acupuncture consultation today!:j
DH seems to believe in Chinese medicine, so will give it a try (will charge it to his credit card:p).
I'm willing to try anything that can help me conceive:cool:
    Good luck :D
I'm trying to think, but no, no pg people around me:o Well there were, but they've all given birth now:o
    That's cos you're gonna be no.1 :D

So.......what do you ladies think about a thread purely for pregnancy announcements? I'm just a little concerned that a) it won't have enough posts to keep it going or b) it'll take posters away from the less than 12 weeks thread. I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

    Feedback please :D
Fwiw, I think the up to 12wk preg thread is probably used for the people who generally get preg without TTC. From what I could tell from OPs post was that she had been preparing (and therefore, in a sense, TTC - like some on here?) for pg for a while, so probably this is where she thought it would be relevant? And if she wasn't pg she wanted to join. That's how I took it, anyway - but I realise I've not been on here for anywhere near as long as some of you guys have :o

Also agree with Smash's points about it slipping from the first page etc :)

CD30 (29) 11dpo and another BFN :( but my temps rose again today so its not over til the witch arrives. She normally comes first thing in the morning but she tricked me last month and arrived at lunch time. I've only 1 IC left so thinking I'll try and hold out til Thurs to test again if no AF by then.

    Good luck! :D

Love it! I'm a BIG believer in sod's law :D

Not much going on here, CD13 (I think, I'll check back through my posts in a sec, it's the only way I keep track!). No sign of OV but lots of BD over the weekend anyway :D

Hope everyone's well. I'm intrigued accupunture and cupping, do people generally go for a specific problem or can you just go for a bit of relaxation? There's nothing wrong with me as such but I do get a lot of tension headaches, I don't really like taking painkillers as I'd be on them all the time if I did. I've been thinking about maybe trying alternative therapies but I don't know where to start (and don't want to waste my money on some quack!).

Right ladies quick question - my cycles are 29 days and my LP is 12days, however this month I ovulated 2 days late, so will this affect my cycle taking it to 31days or shorten my LP to 10days??
I think it makes your cycle longer :) I figure you're better off thinking longer than shorter anyway, cos if you test too early you'll never get a BFP anyway and you'll drive yourself mental worrying about AF, but if you test later then you've less chance of a false negative, iyswim? Besides, the later you find out about pg, the less time there is to freak out before you hit 12wks ;)

Hello, I have been suffering with really bad period pains again today-have given in and taken painkillers as I was in agony :( Still no period though, which frustrates me. Come on AF......(of course I wish i was pregnant and no period at all, but i know the pains etc are a sign it is on its way).

Good luck with your acupuncture QQ, not sure I fancy it, but hell if it works then why not.
It's actually quite nice. I had it for the hyperemesis (don't think it made a huge difference to the actual sickness but I did feel slightly less ill generally) and expected each needle to be like a blood test but in actual fact you barely feel them going in and once they're in you pretty much don't feel them at all.
I am seriously considering acupuncture now. Just need to work out if it's worth joining the healthcare thingy which gives you money towards acupuncture, optical costs, dental costs etc etc.
I think it depends on how many sessions you're expecting to have. Our plan wouldn't have been worth it just for the acupuncture unless I'd also stayed pregnant but OH is seeing a chiropractor and it's been worth it for that as we've got more back than we've paid in.

I can't possibly have ov'd as been doing opk's since CD14 and nothing + :o was doing hpt's around that time too and watched them go to - over a week! It's very strange but deffinately know I'm not preg (unfortunately) humm guess will see what the next few days bring. Anyone else......................?
I really couldn't help you there, sorry :o

I have no clue what my body's doing either tbh, I swear it's being weirder than ever.
Ah well, Que sera sera :)

Cleo - there is no pain involved at all (at least not with me). They feel lovely! The marks are just from all the blood being pulled to the service with the suction, but they don't hurt either.
I think that would break my blood vessels and I'd end up with red splodges all over :o Mind you, the same happens when I simply have my blood pressure done... :o
Then again, we already knew I wasn't normal :p

    Hi All

Sorry never posted on here before but looking for some advice.

My OH and i are now trying for a baby, i came off the pill at the start of the year and bought some ovulation kits to try and work out when i ovulated as i have been on the pill for so long.

I ovulated last sat, we had sex on the Thursday and for the last week i have been feeling sick (not actually been sick) also had itchy nipples and very tired, however i took a test this morning (Superdrug early response or something) and it was negative, i am not due my period until this Fri or Sat - due you think there is still a chance i could be pregnant??

    Hi and welcome Mutron! :)

Yes, there is still a chance you are pregnant, as ovulating last Saturday would only make you 9 dpo's. Most tests won't be positive at this stage as it is too early. So, as QQ always says 'It ain't over til the witch shows!' :)
