GG, 12DPO and your temp has risen today......:D Are you going to test soon? I assume you have OV'd as a result of the provera, right? Keeping all my fingers and toes firmly crossed for you!

((HUGS)) and tonnes of chocolate to all who need them!

Kellyg - do you think a separate thread for pregnancy announcements would be a good idea then? I'm happy to start one up and look after it, if people think it's a good idea.

    Hey Euro,

Maybe a seperate thread would be a good idea? But, then again, there is a less than 12 weeks pregnancy thread? Maybe thats the place to post? Oooo sorry I dont know. (Im so indecisive) :) But, what happens when its one of us? I've only been trying since August last year, (had mc December) but cant wait to get my BFP and tell you guys, and then QQ to do her BFP announcment.

Oooo I dont know lol :)

    I agree with this.

There isn't a thread just for pregnancy announcements (maybe there should be?), so this would seem to be the best place to post such news. I know some of our members have been here longer than others, but newbies aren't to know that.

I don't think they are boasting either. They're just really happy and excited (as we all will be when our days come) and want to share their news with others. For some, this forum may be the only place they feel able to do that before the 12 week mark.

Whilst it can feel terribly unfair that one person falls pregnant on month 1, and others are still trying at 18 months plus, they still have just as much right to be happy and share their news as anyone else.

However, I can also see how difficult it must be to see that happening when you've been trying for a while yourself. So.......what do you ladies think about a thread purely for pregnancy announcements? I'm just a little concerned that a) it won't have enough posts to keep it going or b) it'll take posters away from the less than 12 weeks thread. I'm not sure if it's a good idea.

    Feedback please :D

I agree with the above but, don't think a thread just for pg announcements would be allowed on a MoneySaving website - I think we are lucky to have this thread, to be honest. And, it wouldn't be posted on as often as this and would probably slip off the first page anyway, so people would still post on here.

For what my opinions worth, and from what I gather, I think it was the 'wording' of the pg announcement that caused some upset, not the actual announcement itself. To say 'I've nailed it first time' may imply that they 'got it right the first time' when, really, it's not a case of 'getting it right.' I don't think the OP meant this but I can understand how it could be taken offensively.

    Morning ladies!

Lovely day here, cant beat a bit of sunshine to improve your mood on a Monday morning!

CD30 (29) 11dpo and another BFN :( but my temps rose again today so its not over til the witch arrives. She normally comes first thing in the morning but she tricked me last month and arrived at lunch time. I've only 1 IC left so thinking I'll try and hold out til Thurs to test again if no AF by then.

KellyG and Smash7 - You both have the same concerns over starting a new thread that I do, which is making me think 'Don't bother'.

So, I think maybe we will just have to accept that sometimes these announcements are going to happen on this thread. And sometimes, the wording of it, or even just the timing of it (say it's someone elses CD1 for example), is going to cause a little upset. Maybe we need to change our view of such announcements? For example, we could try thinking 'For every announcement that's made, I'm a little bit closer to my own announcement.' or 'It was their time this month. Mine will be soon, when the time is right and everything happens for a reason.'?

I don't know. It's bl00dy difficult and I want everyone to be happy, but I can't control that. Must....let....go. lol

QQ - How's it going with the IVF stuff? Keeping my fingers and toes firmly crossed for you too!

Exactly! It's all about the PMA. Being p'ssed off/upset, isn't going to change anything. But....being positive and looking towards positive things can certainly have a positive effect on TTC'ing.

On that note, PMA from me: I am sooooo looking forward to Friday! I am, finally, flying over to Bristol to meet two of my closest friends for a weekend visit. One of them lives in Bath, so we are staying with her there and the weather is forecasted to be lovely and sunny! Wahooooo! And, we are also planning on having a webcam chat with our other friend who is in Aus, one morning (either Sat or Sun).

And it's Easter soon - if ever you needed a good reason to eat chocolate :D this is the perfect excuse.

Oh yes, and I bought another new dress this weekend.......whoops! :rotfl:Well, I had an Alice in Wonderland outfit planned for a fancy dress night in May, only, when it arrived it was so short it was only decent for the bedroom! :rotfl::rotfl:So, I have bought a more suitable blue dress and am going to accessorise it instead.

  • Morning Ladies,

I had too many people to multiquote so I am writing this in word and copying it across – just seems easier for me!! Obviously will add the smileys in later!!:rotfl:

Mrsvicx – Hope you are feeling better today and managed to enjoy the weather yesterday!!

BezzyK – Fingers crossed for a BFP. I hope your friend is ok too! It must be very hard for you atm, hugs!

Cleomolly – Hopefully we will be bump buddies too!!

Kira000 – fingers crossed for a BFP – let us know how you get on.

QQ – Anything more happening on your IVF?

Smash – That was a lovely story about your friend, I am glad you were there to enjoy the moment with her!

Keelykat – I have only just worked it how when I did … I have found this thread brilliant for information and support (people who are not ttc just won’t understand where I am coming from!) Fingers crossed you are next!!

Marie1 – Thanks for the linky to your chart … will add you in a bit!

I am a bit out of sorts today!

My AF arrived Friday evening but I only “spotted” and it stopped yesterday … My body has tricked me before but I only had one instance of pink before dark brown (Sorry for TMI) so I am feeling very confused at the minute. I don't think I am pregnant but don't know whats going on

Hope everyone has a lovely Monday!! Only got 2 days to work this week so hope the sunshine stays around for me :j
