What do those of you affected do about it? Have you gone on special diets or just marked it up as something you now know, or gone on metformin or...?
Otherwise lose weight if you are BMI 25 or over, and cut down on sugary stuff:cool:
I've cut down on sugary stuff, and am exercising 3 times a week:cool:
My BMI is slightly under 22, but am working on reducing it to 21;)0 -
QQ, ive got a bmi of 26

Oooh you came off same time as me! I finished my pack in July and cycle isn't what it used to be pre-pill. I was only on the pill for a year. I have next to no pmt, low progestrone that seems to drop randomly after a week after ov. I don't know if this is because im now old, a change of cycle which we will natural for me or whether im still screwey from the pill  I do seem to ov which is good though. And I don't spot til after 10 days past ov so once we start ttcing I should be ok. I just my old cycle back I knew. I was on a 30 day cycle now I am around 26/27 days. How long have you been actively ttcing since the pill or you just starting now?
Hi Rebekah,
We have been TTC since I came off the pill but I was on it for 14 years OMG! So the system has taken a battering and is just getting used to things - I still have no definate Cycle length but my I am averaging between 26-30 well more towards 26 but I am keeping it at 30 to try and not get the hopes up!
Last month my PMT went off the radar I had sore boobs for 2 weeks and cried for 3 days ... the AF arrived! Prior to that I have had nothing ... I do want to go get some ovulating sticks as I seem to have had a pre pill cycle (although at 14 my cycle was 25-26). I seem to convince myself every month my AF signs are pregnancy signs but nothing as yet!
This is a wait and see month - I refuse to buy tests so I can not do them

Hi
You can buy packs of cheap ovulating sticks and pregnancy sticks from Amazon. You get about 15 for the price you'd pay for 1 in the supermarket! They aren't fancy but, they curb the poas addiction
Or, if you want to monitor your cycle in terms of whether you are ovulating or not, why not try temping? A Basal Body Thermometer is cheap on ebay/amazon and Fertility Friend (for charting) is free :money:
I was also on contraception for a very long time

Hi Kellg,
Sorry what is tlp? And sorry it wasn't meant to be!
That is a long cycle ... I think our bodies play tricks on us!!
Hi Smash,
Thanks for that I have order a Basal Temp Thermometer - I haven't actually been using these rather just gauging from the charts - but I think I have had a normal AF so I have invested to see if it makes a difference ... If i'm pregnant I won't need it but I don't want to assume too much just yet£2 Saver # 40 & SPC # 1465 & VSP # 94 £101.47/£100
