butterflylady wrote: »Please excuse this interruption, I don't normally read this thread but for some reason I had a flick through tonight and read someone mentioning the injection as an interium contraception before trying to convince, please from the bottom of my heart do not have this. Myself and lots of my friends have had this and have had nightmare trying to get pregnant. After my last injection it took 2 years for my body to start working again!!
Again sorry for the interruption I'll go back to lurking again. xx
Thanks for this. This is also a concern of mine as I remember asking my UK GP about the injection some years ago and she warned me against it as the effects can last a lot longer and she knew that I have a strong desire to have children.
No worries about posting, it's not an interruption. It's always good to hear about people's experiences.
I hope everything worked out well for you in the end.:)

I was on depo for about 5 years before we started TTC#2. After I stopped the injection it took my body a year to get back to normal.

OK, Huge ((HUGS)) for everyone who needs them!
I am in a very happy and positive mood today as I fly back to the UK tonight for a weekend visit, I had a nice time with work colleagues last night and one of my colleagues has just had an offer on a house accepted. I'm so, so happy for her. She met and fell in love with a guy mid last year, and yes, things have moved pretty quickly, but they are sooo happy together and keen to start a family so they are just putting the building blocks in place, so to speak. I expect she'll be TTC soon, if not already.
Oh, and my nips have started to calm down, thank God!
Get to see my folks tonight and my brother, SIL and their 3 kids tomorrow! I've missed them soooooooooo much! Oh, and I'm also getting my haircut tomorrow morning. I love going to the hairdressers. I now have one in Haarlem, NL and one in Eastbourne, UK (where my folks now live)! lol
So, here people, have some of my PMA and sherbert lemons that I also have on my desk! lol. And, tonnes of SBDTA!!!!!!!!!
I hope you all have good days, or that they at least improve for those who have started badly.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Hi, I am a first time poster but have been lurking for a long time. I would really appreciate some advice. My boyf and I are planning to start trying for a baby and have agreed I will stop taking Cerazette (mini pill) in about 3 weeks (after holiday). I have been taking it for approx 3 years. However I have read a number of stories on the net about people having trouble TTC after comming off of Cerazette and also that there is more risk of mc. I am planning to go to my GP but wondered if anyone on here had any experiences of TTC after Cerazette? Also if it is better to wait a month or more after stopping the pill before we TTC? Any info would be gratefully received as I am worried!
Thanks.
Hello ladies, I'm still here lurking but not had much to report...
Re Cerazette, I was taking it for 3 years. I came off it at the end of October and my cycle is still all over the shop. I've been on one form of pill or another for the last 12 years so I'd be reluctant to put this down just to Cerazette. I've also read the horror stories on the internet but I'd take them with a pinch of salt. My GP said that there's no evidence it's any worse than any other pill. Even though it appears it may be taking a while for my body to get back to normal I know of 2 friends who concieved only 1/2 months after coming off it so it's not all bad!
I'll go back to lurking now! SBTA0 -

QQ - There is indeed, no place like home. There was quite a lot of drama with OH's family just after New Year's, and then my sister's mc, and then Mum's heart problems etc, so I've been dying to go home and spend some quality time with the family and recharge my batteries.
Sherbert lemons are so yummy! OH's Mum sent us a package at the start of this week with some red nose stuff and sweets. There were jelly beans too, but I'm not so keen on them. Couldn't believe my luck when OH said 'I don't like sherbert lemons, you have 'em'!We usually like all of the same bad stuff so we both love it when we find a treat that the other doesn't like! haha

2. haven't been feeling too well so am a little relieved tbh
