I have just realised that tomorrow is the one year anniversary of when me and DH had the "big talk" and decided we were ready to start a family. We didn't actually start trying until later in the year but wouldn't it be lovely to find out i was pregnant tomorrow :) i'll be CD25 (28) do you think it's too early to test?

    SBD to all!

    CD1....

    Shortest cycle since TTC

    However focusing on the positives.

    1. start a new role next week so have another month to get my head round it before mat leave

    2. haven't been feeling too well so am a little relieved tbh

    3. have convinced OH we need another kitten :D

It's a little to early, you'd be somewhere between 7-13DPO depending on when you ov'd. If it's just 7DPO, then you are likely to get a false negative, but as long as it's a cheap test, then why not?:)

We are thinking of IVF in April:cool: My next cycle is going to be non medicated, and will probably start IVF on the cycle following that. I have work trip in April, so have to ov late, after 30th March for it to work, otherwise it's May...
Let's hope it doesn't come to it! :)
Is it much different to the IUI process you're going through - in terms of being you mauled with & injections etc?

    Morning ladies!!
bigzippy - you're brave with the white trousers around AF..!

CD7(22) I phoned hubby on way home last night and told him to get ready for BD for when I got home:cool: We have only DTD twice this cycle and he already says he feels pressured (jokingly though;)) Wimp, lol :rotfl: I'm gonna play the Snickers advert for hom later - "Get some nuts" :rotfl:
That's kinda the point...I really don't think I'm pg, so I'm just annoyed that AF's not showed yet! In the meantime they're like a material version of comfort food iyswim :o
:rotfl: at "Get some nuts" - brilliant! :p
"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May

The difference is that they have to get the egg out and fertilise it in a lab and put it back in again. Whereas for IUI they just inject the sperm directly near the fallopian tubes.

There would be more injections etc as for IUI we only need 1 or 2 eggs, while for IVF they need as many as possible as most will be unusable and if lucky, freeze some for later:cool:

I didn't get any side effects with IUI drugs, but with IVF it'll probably will give me something, but who cares if it leads to a baby!:j (If not, it's not worth it!:o).

Hi all, just a quickie as I'm about to leave work.

Still no AF for me...I think I might test again tomorrow (haven't done so since Monday) as it'll be CD41 I think. Still getting AF-type pains on and off, but no AF! Annoying, more than anything.

RE Cerazette - that's what I was on until 26th December. I loved that Pill, but may change my mind depending on how my cycles pan out over the next few months (hopefully not too long though!)

As for non-drug alternatives, there's the cap, or the coil (not mirena though, that's got drugs in it).

Right, better go, will be back on here later though! :D

    Hugs,

    BB

I haven't had much time to get involved in this thread but just wanted to let you know I am pregnant. Only early days but felt a bit guilty as have only been trying since the new year and i know some of you girlies have been trying a while. Was really concerned we would have problems due to my hubby having mumps as a teen but looks like we have been lucky.

Wishing you all luck for the year ahead

Theres a better job out there waiting for you and well fate works in mysterious ways :grouphug:

Im off to put my Euromillions ticket on thanks for the reminder
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    Evening all,

For all of those who can remeber Madbird I've spoken to her recently she's having a baby boy which I'm so chuffed to let you all know about and also she wanted to say this!!

"I don't like to post in TTC as don't want to feel rubbing anyones nose in it so to speak. But if you want to pass on a message to say still thinking of you all and wishing you all quick BFPs then would be good!"

She's 1 of our older graduates and is still in awe of the fact that bubs in on the way!!! :happyhear

    *delurks*

Oi young Debs, whats all this older business, I'll have less of that please! Yes I know I'm 40 in 6 weeks and bubs due in June but you don't need to remind me!!

As the youngster Debs said I do lurk and really hope you get that BFP soon. Don't give up hope and as I think someone said you need to try to be happy in yourself while TTC. I was at my most chilled and de-stressed when I did, despite various things going on. I could have stopped TTC as was facing redundancy - didn't, got pregnant and yes I'm now redundant, but I'm very happy.:)

Take care of yourselves, happy BD'ing and SBDTA xxx

    *relurks*
:heart2:Baby boy madbird arrived 15/06/11 by emergency csection weighing 9lb 13oz:eek: love him so much xx:heart2:

GG, do you think you may have ov'd on CD61?

 You are even better than FF! It only this evening decided i may have Ov'd then and be 7dpo! Not fully convinced but who knows!! I've had loads of ewcm looking stuff recently but every time I take an opk it only has faint line, To be honest i've given up with opk's. I bought a pack of 50 at the start of this cycle and 68 days later i only have about 5 left.

If i did get pg this cycle i think it'd be a girl as on dtd the day before ov. Fingers crossed, that would make me very very happy!:o

Big hugs to WW, sorry to hear you didn't get that job :( Hopefully theres a better one (and a BFP) just around the corner for you :j
