just thought Id share a litle thing that happened in my day that made me laugh a lot.
I had a year 7 mixed gender and ability science lesson today (so 11-12years old) part of the work set was a 'fun quiz' based on reproduction and the human body some pearls that appeared from that lesson.
-babies get blood from your breasts
-babies are cut out through the bum?!
-babies are made by 2 sex cells from 2 men
-menopause - is pronounces meeeeeee no pause
- babies are either boy or girl or something else (i didnt question anymore)
- sperms and tadpoles are the same (not look the same they are the same)
- babies implant in the mammory glands(yes in the boobs)
I dont want to do them an injustice but it was mainly boys who where saying the above - although a girl said the cut out through the bum comment..... is sincerely glad Im not a science teacher....Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

Well, BFN for me this morning, as expected. I'm not disappointed, as I knew it would be negative. Even if (big if!) I WAS pregnant, I'm fairly sure it's too early yet, but DH really wanted me to test - said it made TTC more "real" somehow...
Had my 3-yearly smear test booked in for this morning, went in and had a chat with the nurse but she said she didn't want to do the smear as there was a possibility that I could be pregnant - apparently there's a small risk of miscarriage during the first trimester, but it's ok in the second.
She did ask me to drop a FMU sample into the surgery, so they could do one of their more accurate tests, and I've also got to go to the hospital next week for a blood test, to check my rubella immunisation etc is all fine and dandy.
She was very nice - told me I was a "good girl" for having started to take folic acid already...!(well, I am a good girl!)

Sad news here. My sister started to bleed this morning and has subsequently lost the baby.
Wish I was there to give her a hug, but she does have her husband, our parents and our other sister there for support and I've been texting. Not sure I should call yet as she may not want to talk to anyone just yet.
Quite upset myself. I know how much they want this, and it was nice to have such good news to focus on.
Sorry, had to share to get it off my chest. SBDTA and hugs to all who need them.

Oh Euronorris I am so sorry for your sister. Brings it all home a bit doesnt it?
Was she very far along?
As for the getting in touch, I found it really hard to speak to people straight after my mc. I really only wanted to see OH and that was it. Also, people being upset didnt help me. (Had to tell my Mum to stay away for a few days becuase she was crying which made me worse). As long as you have text her she knows you are thinking of her. Maybe give her a few days and call.
Hugs and SBDTA xx0 -
