    Hi Everyone,

There are lots of new names on here. We decided last month to try again I am very scared though 2 mcs in the last 12 months have been so tough. But time is passing us by so giving it another go.

I am currently on CD21 cycle has been between 21 and 28 days since 1 mc.

    Hello everyone.

    hi penny

recognised your name from reading threads about mc. i had one in november and am trying again from feb. still waiting for first af as haven't had anything since mc - should be due soon.

glad you have found the strength to try again, i know a couple of girls who had 2 mc's and the next one worked out - just bad luck i suppose.

good luck and fingers crossed we get what we want(and deserve!!) this year.
  • Hi All,

Congratulations on all the festive BFP's and well done to everyone for staying positve :)

CD27 for me and i feel like AF will be here any minute :( either that or a i am PG and have every symptom lol

Am reisded to the fact that by the time i get home saturday this will not be our month, but ya never know, my body might fool me :)

I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average time was to ttc?

Also, does anyone else have issues with booking things? OH and i want to go abroad, but dont want to book anything until we know if im pg - trying to be MSE about it we are saying we might as well wait for a last minute deal - but i do feel like life is on hold a little.

good luck with work today, i know what you mean, i as dreading going back into work after my mc, i did pop in for half hor the day before just to get it out of the way so my first day back was not as bad as i thought it was going to be.
sorry to hear about your mc and good luck for the future. x

Hey Mirror, its actually not that bad. Ive had one email from a colleague, entitled "I care" telling me how she understands and had the same thing in 2003. I thought it was nice but I kinda wish she hadn't bothered. Does that sound harsh?

Thanks for the thoughts, good luck to us all, we deserve it x:T

AF made an apperance lightly on thurs and properly on friday! soo... that means that cycle was more normal at 28/29 days!!) woohooo!! so hopefully im back on track! my body is so messed up!!

however I have been taking my folic acid! go me! As soon as AF is gone, the fun can begin! :D like i said before we won't be using OPK's just yet! Going to try a few cycles of just DTD every other day if possible! and see what happens! :)

exciting stuff! hope this is the month for all of us on here!
Glad your cycle was normal, good luck to us all:beer:
Does anyone else find pregnacare makes them feel sick gives them diawoowoo? I've been taking it with a big meal like it says to but I don't know if it's a coincedence or if it is that making me feel icky.
I've been taking it for ages, but no side effects. Perhaps stop Pregnacare and take folic acid alone to see if it makes any difference?

I'll still be lurking though. Hope not to see you on here when I join up properly!
I hope you'll remember me, as I would probably be still here:wave:

Roughly 12dpo. Still have backache, creamy CM, gas and intermittant cramps. However, did a IC yesterday morning (with FMU) and BFN. :(
    12DPO is too early :naughty:
I was just wondering if anyone knew what the average time was to ttc?
    12 months:)

Statistically a healthy, fertile couple have a 1 in 20-25% chance of conceiving a each cycle, with approximately 80% falling pregnant within 12 months of actively trying. This approximately translates to 25% of couples getting pregnant in the first month of trying, 60% within 6 months, 75% within 9 months and 90% within a year and a half, so if that much wanted positive test is taking a little longer than expected you're not alone.

I know what you mean. I think it is OK to book holidays so long as it's not skiing or bungee jumping:p
QQ Hope you are OV'ing this month!!!
    I hope so too:p

Puzzledbubbles - I have heard 6 months is average but also that up to 12 is perfectly normal. Of course, it all depends on how you define "average"! e.g. 4 couples could take 2, 4, 4 and 14 months to conceive with an average time of 6 months (assuming average = the mean value). Sorry, I'm a numbers geek and am a real pedant so take all statistics with a large dose of salt.I decided not to put life on hold and had booked/organized lots of things for the summer. I just spent the weekend rearranging everything because lots of things I planned won't be possible now. It was a pain and I will lose a bit of money but I'd prefer that to having an empty summer and sitting about thinking "I thought I be pregnant by now". And now I'm praying it all goes well because if it doesn't and I've cancelled all my plans I'll be truly miserable.

When do you hope to go away? Anytime before the end of June should still be ok, whatever happens?

ETA: QQ's statistics make a lot of sense. Thanks :)
