My brother announced last week that he and his wife are expecting their first child! :D My SIL found out on 23rd, but waited until 24th to tell him. They are over the moon, and a little scared (of course).

congrats to your bro & sis! x

Today my plan is to start my visual board I don't know where people on here lie when it comes to spiritualism but I spoke to a friend recently who suggested I make myself 1 with my desires for the year so I'm quite excited about it and I have an outline to follow in 1 of my mags!!! I'm feeling very positive for 2011 so far!!! ;)

like the sound of this debs!! one of my friends uses a visualisation technique to ask the universe for things that she wants. this is going to sound unspiritual- but she read it in a book recommended by Noel Edmonds! she applied it to her life and it seems to work - she is a lucky person and so far last year she won a luxury trip to a retreat in bath, £200 on a bet, hotel stay in Glasgow, and a barbeque worth £400!! am sure there was more but thats all i can remember.
What are things u can eat/drink to help OV/getting pregnant?

why not try the tesco cassava chips above? meant to be good for ovulation xx

CD14(30) here, OPK test stick came up positive today for ovulation!!! however am going out to town to hit the shops this afternoon and OH is hungover in bed!!!! will not be able to BD until this evening. does this mean we will lose our chance for the month??? we BDd yesterday morning but the test kit just had a faint line that day which shows as negative on the packet instructions.

will we still have a chance if we BD tonight????

    xx

Hi there, I have no idea what any of the acronyms mean (apart from BD, I figured that one out!) so bear with me.

My DH and I are just starting to TTC now (new year resolution, I guess)! I'm not charting or anything like that, just going to see what happens. I'm a little worried because I've been on the mini-pill for 18 months, before that I wasn't on any pill for about a year but my cycle was only about 16 days long... Before THAT I was on the combined pill for 4 years.

Um...what else do you want to know...this will be my first pregnancy...I'm 26...that's about it really!

  • Hi BB1984, looks like we're new in this together! Good luck.

I've been monitoring my cycle for about 7 months now and though the average is about 36 days I've also had a 28 day, then the last three have been 40, 43, and 52 days respectively.

CD53 is I think the longest ever, was trying my best not to get my hopes up buy AF arrived on boxing day :-( I have been quite concerned as my symptoms were so different this month. Didn't feel the usual emotion a day or two before, then on the day AF arrived I got agonising cramps that lasted for about 2 days, in 17 years I've been lucky only to ever have one night (during the night) where I get cramps, and I can't help wondering whether I may have conceived and lost the baby, I was devasted as only the day before I had been discussing with my OH how I felt different and was wishing I was at home so i could do a HPT but this wasn't possible. I guess I'll never know......just never had cramps like that and then the actual bleed was heavier sooner than usual then tailed off.

It's likely that it was just an irregular cycle, but Im interested to hear if anyone else has had experiences like this and whether anyone find their cycle varies a lot too? How on earth do you work out the Big O like this!!!

Sorry for the long winded account, have just been worrying and don't want to discuss with anyone (except OH) as I don't want anyone to know we're TTC toavoid the obvious questions.

    Hi everyone
Congrats for all the recent BFPs, its very motivating to see people having success at TTC! :T
Hugs to everyone with recent visits from the witch, 2011 will be our year!

I posted ages ago to say Hi and haven't posted since, but have been lurking!

Am currently on CD19 (30), this month we tried cheapy OPKs and we think we had a positive on CD 15 which kind of fitted in with the ov calendar I've been using on my phone & my observation of EWCM. We BD'd CD10, 11, 14, 16, 17 and maybe again tonight just to make sure! So feel like we've done all we can this month.

I never ever realised TTCing would be so hard and take so long (only on our 5th cycle so I know its normal but never knew until we started!)

If this month brings bad news, we're going to buy a CB ov kit to know for sure when I ov (the cheapy ones are just too hard to read to be sure-a smily face will spell it out for us!).

OH was also looking at buying a fertitility test on the net just to see what his sperm levels are. Anyone got any experience of them?

    Hi,

I have been a longtime lurker and would like to be able to join you all please.

I have been trying to conceive for a few months now and would like some advice as to ways to test as to when I am ovulating. Up to now I have put the dates of my cycle on line and then used the suggested dates. This does not seem to be working and I wonder whether the ovulating kits I have seen in the chemists would be a good idea or not. I would appreciate advice please as I have not considered this before but really would like to get pregnant. I also wonder if an own make set would be good enough or whether it’s best to buy the clear blue ones?

    Many thanks in advance.
    Hi and belated welcome:wave:
As for OPKs, I use Clearblue Fertility Monitor and cheap opks:
    ovulation predictor kits
    Clearblue fertility monitor

And I also temp using BBT thermometer:)

Would you like to be on the first page?
Would something like this be OK?

Hi all, bored with Christmas telly so decided to stop lurking. Think I understand this ttc lingo so far... Dh and I are ttc, finished my last pill packet at end September and cycles have been pretty regular since, 28/27 days, this one shorter at 25 though. Hmm this will be our first so still learning the ropes, decided to make a proper effort this month. Fingerscrossed!!

    Hi Guys,

I hope that you are all well.

I am currently at CD7(1st cycle after pill). We have BD every day since AF flew away, but that was just for fun - not TTC. It is far too early for OV, also no CM at all.

I am waiting for my OPKs to arrive from Amazon. I hope that they come tomorrow as it will be day 8 and that is the day I want to start testing. Luckily I will be on holiday from CD16 for 3 weeks. I am hoping that I will be too busy enjoying myself to obsess during the 2ww. (if it is a 2ww, that's assuming I OVd and assuming I will get AF on day 29 if not pg.)

Did any of you ladies get any side effects when you came off of the pill? I have had a headache every day for the past 4 days. Today I have a slight one but not as bad as yesterday. I have also been having trouble getting off to sleep.

    xxx
