    Morning girls,

Congrats on the BFP Sparkle, thats amazing news!! It definitely will be a shock to both you and your OH, even if it is planned. Its a hige life changing moment, its only natural it will take time to sink in.

QQ - I think we are on the same days past O! I THINK I am 5 dpo today, I had my first peak last Thurs and 2nd on Fri. Do you count the days from your first peak?

How are you feeling, any signs? I am trying really hard not to get too carried away and think rationally. We did manage to BD on both peak days (well, evenings) so do you think that gives us a good chance or should we have done it the day after both peaks as well?
Did you BD both days as well? (sorry, thats quite a personal questions!).

Hope everyone else is all ok?
    x x

Yes I have on the night I concieved last time, only time I have used it, but will be using it again! I used quite a bit, at least 50ps worth, size wise, found it quite nice:o:p

    Good luck!

Hi all thanks for the support, and sorry to post on here as I know I should properly move on to the other thread I found, it's just that at least here I had posted a few times before.
Yes it will def sink in soon enough I am sure, wondering if anyone has told parents as soon as they found out? We are too scared to tell anyone, especially until we're calmer as it will be doubled and tripled when people start to know! Aren't we meant to wait until the 12 week scan just in case? At the same time I am bursting to tell someone, the doctor and OH don't count (well you know what I mean)!

Au revoir Wonder Womble and gravesendgirl. We'll miss you but understand.

    Huge congratulations sparkle.

I'm a bit like smash I think. Haven't been here long and taking it one step at a time.

Had a baby dream last night. I normally don't remember dreams but occasionally they're so vivid that they stick in my mind. This one was surreal but I also felt so much love and happiness. Weird. Here's hoping it was a premonition!

You can tell people whenever you want. Personally I wanted to keep it secret IRL as long as possible but being admitted to hospital for hyperemesis gravidarum at 6 1/2 weeks in my first pregnancy put paid to that. Some people keep it quiet until they've had the 13 week scan because they want to be reassured that everything is okay before they tell people and/or because the first trimester is the time when there is the highest risk of miscarriage.

  • afternoon everyone.

sorry to see ww and geg leave, best of luck to the both of you. :grouphug:

    congratulations to sparkle!!! :j

i got a line on an opk last night, wasn't as dark as the control line so not sure if it's a positive or not, will do another one tonight and see what that comes out as. i jumped the hubby anyway :p:rotfl:and will do again tonight regardless of what the opk says. was very excited by the +opk as i didn't get one last month :D:cool:

not having the best day so far, i'm feeling sick. when i walked the dog this morning we were mugged by one of her doggy admirers, who she really doesn't like as he keeps trying to hump her  so had both of them jumping up at me and i got covered in mud. so i came home, hand washed my gloves, scrubbed my coat and put my jeans in the washing machine, only to find when the wash had finished i'd left a tissue in my pocket!

about telling people about being pg, i'd personally tell my mum and mother in law at least and probably a couple of very close friends. but that's just me, i'd be too excited about keeping it quiet.
  • Thanks guys, I am feeling a bit better now. This morning when he left I nearly cried but had to keep calm as was due to go to work myself - the red teary look is not good!
Hmm, we'll have to see what happens once we are past this shock stage - I really coudln't bear comments from mum and mother in law just yet in terms of 'oh you must do this and must do that' just yet. Maybe next week as I have my driving test and will feel more reassured once that is over no matter what the result (hoping to pass though!).
    Little Angel good luck!
