When did you come off the pill. I waited just over 3 months for my AF to reappear. It was frustrating but theres's not much you can do. I did actually go to the doctor who said after 3 months it was about time AF came back so prescribed progesterone tablets to kick start a cycle. But in fact I started a couple of days after anyway so never needed them.

Its only been about a month since stopping but would have thought something would have happened
not sure about what's normal but you can get BFP even on the pill so don't take anything for granted - at least if you're on this thread it's likely to be wanted...

MrsR... have you tried testing? - we need another Nov positive to chear us all up...

I did a test last week as was starting to go out my mind with all the strange symptoms but it was bfn.. that got me thinking i may have tested to early :o Think may do another test tomorrow just incase. Can I ask where you ladies buy your tests? They seem to be costing me a fortune!!

Nope it was negative yesterday by the look of it so it could be real? Seems early for me though, if day one of the loss counts as cd1, then I would be cd14 today and normal cycle is about 32 days its possible, anythings possible..........scared!!!

I went for fertilty reflexology last night to kick start ovulation and af, and I have a few cramps today, and bloating today, so who knows??? My body is wierd...

Ill keep my fingers crossed for you. Love the sound of Fertility Reflexology.. would all reflexologists know how to apply it for fertility?

You need a good reflexologist (generally not a beauty therapist type but a regiestered reflexologist and if you can one that specalises in fertility and maternity reflexolgy) I have seen a lot of good results with reflexology and accupucture, and with reflexology its a nice relaxing treatment anyway, so no harm done. It will help you with getting your cycles regulated. Pregnancy tests you can get internet cheapies from amazon or ebay but they are not great, tesco do 2 for £4 and they are good, as are the superdrug ones.

  • Hi Pawpurrs hope it goes ok for you! Fortunately have reflexology booked for this Sat (booked it aaages ago) so will see what they suggest. Initially it was to calm any driving test nerves, now it's for pg as well!

I am so thankful for your comments ladies, so scared and overwhelmed and feel like I am not going to be good at this, but I know I need to take it one day at a time rather than 'oh-my-god-it-will-cost-200k-and-what-if-we're-crap-at-it-and-we-need-to-stop-spending-immediately' sort of panic..

OH seems still quiet but I think it's just sinking in, we're ok though, so I think it's just he's probably got lots on his mind too about worries. However, I do need him to snap out of it a bit as I'm nauseous (evenings seem to be worse than mornings) and worried myself...

Thanks again ladies, I guess I'll graduate to the other board now and wade in slowly, lots to learn!

Sparkle make sure you tell your reflexologist that you are pregnant as they need to avoid certain parts and be a bit more gentle before 12 weeks, some wont work on you before 12 weeks (not that there is any harm, but they dont want to be blamed if there is a mc)

Those figures are averages which are inflated by the really rich people. I once read a breakdown and more than half of it was education, childcare and holidays - they had more per child per year for holidays than we ever spent on holidays in a year for the two of us.

  • Thanks Deborah - it's a cliche I think to be over the moon, I think first off your world freezes even though it's what you'd decided to try for! We had been learning and talking/deciding in Summer and then 2 months ago started learning about ovulation etc, i found it overwhelming I must admit and got addicted to checking the threads and the internet. It was making me worried and think about it too much, so I thought best if I didn't and we said we'd try for a year on the right ovulation dates etc. Tried to predict as best as poss buy my cycle varies between 32-39 days so quite hard to pinpoint! This month though I *knew* when to BD as I woke up absolutely desperate and OH had no chance, I was crazy for him first thing which is rare, lucky is was a weekend! I am sure that was the one...

  • hi all CD16 did an opk today and still neg but iv had really bad ov pains in my left side all day. il test again tmrw but grab oh tonight anyway just in case. sorry to hear a few people are having problems with their OHs. its a very stressfull time me and OH had a long disscussion and went through everything how we felt what we should do etc then once we were clear about everything we stopped discussing it he doesnt know when i ov etc i just try to make sure we BD at the right time it takes the pressure off him, we do BD quite frequently (sorry TMI) so its never been a problem to time it right. i think men feel the pressure more than women in some cases they want to be the one to 'make it happen' so when it doesnt they feel like they have let you down. they are just big kids at heart lol.

Superdrug ones are good, but I have a stock of IC hpts from Amazon, which is really cheap (have to PIAC though)
