  • Good morning,

    Feeling much better today :j

OH pulled everything out from under bed yesterday to get my thermometer. So am back on track and OV look imminent :j still peed on a CBFM stick this morning and got 2 solid lines so i think today would be high, been doing OPK's too and the line is getting darker, I ov'd on CD28 last month and it's looking like that might happen this month today too! CD27 today and my temp is at its lowest so hoping for a nice jump tomorrow :T Reallllly want to get pg this month, due date would be 3rd of August which would be lovely! We are on a bd marathon to make it happen, twice yesterday, last night using preseed ;)

LT - hope your week away at outlaws goes ok, i can totallly sympathise thier as my outlaws hate me and "don't wish to see me" :rotfl:Try to hold your head up high and don't let them win, a huge mistake i made a few weekends ago

Ali - thats lovely!!! He will be such a help when the new baby arrives :)

Debs glad you and OH made up, lets hope your making up bding produces a little bean :j

please don't think age is ever an issue, its OK for men to father children at over 50 so why not a woman. as long as you live a relatively healthy lifestyle there shouldn't be a problem. we got a 10 month old and a 16 year old & we are 48 both healthy both naturally conceived & couldn't be happier go for it you wont regret it !

CD16 for me - CBFM was low yesterday and Peak/OV today :o (peak with a little circle in the top bar? Never had it before). Means we're out again this month as OH is in Scotland :(
Have been trying to stay away from this thread as I was becoming more & more depressed everytime it didn't happen for us.
Can anyone tell me how to read an OPK - green handle, top line control - what does the bottom line have to be like? Getting darker closer to ov? Doesn't matter for this month but I have 49 left for next month :o

Well, just had my smear, and my coil removed. Have a daughter who is 11 and since her have been divorced, remarried to a wonderful man who has taken on my daughter, has no biological children, and we want to try for a baby, yeay!

Just seen a lovely nurse who tells me I'm not too old (have to get my blood pressure down first!), and have started taking folic acid.

I know I just have to bury my head in the sand and get on with it. I'm scared as I know how hard it is, it will turn our life upside down and we've just got on track, but we really want to try to be lucky. All of a sudden I feel really excited, nervous, and wondering whether we're doing the right thing.

Wish me luck! I know I'm an old codger!

    Best of luck to you.

Seems to me a lot of my friends are having babies at the moment, one who is due in 7 days she is 39, one had one a few months back was 40, one had one about 5 months ago 40 again, and one who will be 41 when she drops.

OH asked me (now we are getting married) did i want another, DS is 15, I could of cried (well i did in private) i got sterilised about 8 years ish ago, partly for medical reasons and partly so that i didn't give him a shock as we were never a stable relationship back then.

I have MS, Fibro, Uvitis and feel so scared that i might have passed something onto DS, let alone another child, although my head is screaming at me to get my op reversed, i need to stay strong as my decision not to have any more is for my own good.

I'd say if you can still have children and you want one, can support financially then go for it.

  • (((Hugs))) SC :( If the line is getting darker you're nearing ov. When I do opks I get a faint line one day, the dark line the next, then a faint line the day after. Some people seem to get a few days of faint lines gradually getting darker.

Glad you got your thermometer back GG and well done on your bd marathon.

(((Hugs))) to LT and all those with outlaw issues. :(

CD27 for me and just waiting ........ ...... waiting ....... ........ and waiting some more .........

All the signs of AF are there which I knew they would be as we didn't BD at the right time, but I still feel a bit disappointed :(

    Hi Ladies,

Am back from my honeymoon and am not loving the weather or the fact I am back at work tomorrow at all! AF turned up a couple of days into my hols and I am now on CD13. Had an absolutely fab hols, QQ hope you saw my frantic waving from KL to you!!

I am having a really hard time at the mo with almost everyone around me being pg. Some accidentally, which I find even more difficult. I am really happy for the individuals who are pg or having babies but I am jealous and everything reminds me of what could of been. On hols I kept seeing ladies that were about as far along as I would of been without the m/c. Ah well, our time will come and I made sure that I made good use of the fact that I can drink and had a few cocktails!

I am going to get some baby cuddles tomorrow which will be fab but I am sure I will be upset when I get home.

Hello to everyone who has joined in the last couple of weeks.

I think there will be 5 BFP's this month!

QQ - Can you put me down on the testing list for 4th Dec please.

    SBDTA xx

Hey GG - glad you had a lovely honeymoon :T

I know what you mean about the other pg ladies - I can cope with those with newborns and those about to drop. Ones who are far along as me I'm iffy with (I'm almost kind of intrigued more than anything in a "that's how I'd be now" way). Newly pregnant people I hate. Very weird. I feel a bit like no-one else should get pg until I am..........

Twigpig - any news of the AF front?

    xDx

P.S. I mean ladies I know in real life - so you girls on here don't need to worry. :T
Fear is temporary, regret is forever.....

When I was reading to him in bed last night, he said "Will you read to our new baby too?" I said yes, and that he could read to them as well - his little face lit up like a Christmas tree :smileyhea
Aww that's so sweet. I asked Alice what she would do if we had a real baby (as oppposed to all her imaginary ones) and she said she would love it and cuddle it and kiss it and look after it.
