Well I *think* - and please somebody correct me if I am wrong that the PEAK measures your LH surge, so that ovulation is expected within 12-36 hours later....

But then I've been thinking (too much!!), if I surge between this morning and tomorrow when it picks it up, I could already be ovulating.

    Does that sound super confusing?!

It does! :o I'm sure one of the ladies who uses the CBFM will come along soon.

    Sorry! Im so confused myself!

I try to think of them like OPKs, because OPKs measures your LH Surge right, so if you get a + on the stick, it would suggests that ovulation is about to occur within the next 24-48 hours (I just re-googled this).

SO in theory, if I get a smily face/or a peak on a CBFM tomorrow morning, Im not likely to actually ovulate until 24-48 hours time, and if we DTD tonight, doesnt that mean theres a possibility all the swimmers will be dead?

    Morning ladies!

So, I'm back from the my doc's appt. And as expected it was not only a total waste of my time, but also quite upsetting. So, after being told my blood tests were 'indicative' of pcos, and that my ultrasound confirmed mild pcos, my doc then said, no I don't think it's pcos! And why? Just because the other women he's seen who had pcos had more 'definite' results from the ultrasound! So I'm like, OK... I have all the symptoms of pcos, what could it be if it's not pcos? And he's like, oh I don't want to worry you, we'll do some more blood tests first and then discuss it when the results come back next week. Which of course now really worries me!

I tried to explain that I think I'm insulin resistant, but he said they only do the glucose tolerance test if they think I have diabetes. So that's out, then I said well I'm only really concerned about ovulating regularly (excess hair etc I can deal with!) and could I have clomid or something? Apparently no I can't, only the gynae can proscribe clomid and he won't refer me to a gynae until he has diagnosed me. And then he totally flippantly said 'well if you turn out to be infertile you'll have to wait 18 months before we can refer you to a fertility clinic' At which point I just about broke and starting crying.

So apparently we're back to square one. I have no idea what's going on with my body and the doc was clearly less than interested in helping me out with it. :(

Sorry, rant over :o, at least it's Friday right? I think I'm going to use some of my holiday days next week and take a little time out to pull myself together and relax a bit. Maybe a spa treatment if I can afford it. :D Hopefully that will make me feel a bit better!

Hope all you lovelies are OK. Oh, and hello lemonmelon! :hello:

    So which one's the best?:D
(((Hugs))) for being tired and aching all over, but no SSing, :naughty: Do you think you could be further along than 4DPO?

Apparently Doggy style is good as it makes the cervix more accessible.......He may have made that up though!! Otherwise good old missionary is supposed to be pretty good with a cushion under your bum afterwards. Oh and stick your legs in the air and sycle for 30 seconds too apparently!!!

I think I may well be more than 4dpo but deffo had EWCM last weekend. I have rather sore nipples and that must be a sign of either AF or PG. I used to get it just before AF when I was on the pill but I didn't last month which was my first cycle off the pill. If it is AF then she should be appearing soon!

2b I think the swimmers last around three days some even longer.
Scarly ((hugs)) your doctor sounds rubbish and most unhelpful. Can you ask to see someone else at the surgery. I think unfortunately fertility is one of those issues you have to push with the doctors to get some action (that sounds dodgy but you know what I mean ;) ) I would ask to see another doctor to discuss your pcos results.
Lisa keeping my fingers crossed still :)

My mum told me she saw a program yesterday that said that wasnt true anymore and you just need to lie down flat for 20 mins!

I remember last month I lay off the edge of the bed, with my head on the floor, in an almost headstand position!! :D

    (((((Big hugs Scarly ))))))

Doctors can be so de-sensitised to things that they come across as completely uncaring. It's the not knowing that's horrible, oh and all the waiting.

I did another test this am - BFN - which I knew in my heart of hearts anyway. The witch has just turned up and I'm at work  So CD1 for me.

Oh well, a few drinks may be in order tonight, I haven't touched a drop for months but as am def not pg, may as well try and enjoy the party I'll be at.

Well ... I feel like a really really naughty girl today!!

Wasn't in the mood in the slightest (suprise suprise) but he was like a cat on heat. I did indeed take the lay back and think of england option and let him get at it. He thought it appropriate to say oh we might have a mistake. And afterwards oh dear I forgot to wear a condom. lol. Men ... I did say it might be a bit early to get at it and he said but we might miss it if it comes early. With all this stress it will come late LOL.

Oh and please tell me i'm not the only idiot getting up talking to the left over sperm this morning in my tummy ...
