Ohh, you just reminded me, I stopped taking the folic acid as I forgot to carry it about in my handbag, but really must start again.

I've had 2 restless nights now, something is on my mind, but I really dont know what it could definitely be. Maybe its the TTC and that we are at that time again.

Bigz - Oh that name is sticking now ((big hugs)) I hope you are feeling better. I think with GPs/Consultants though, if you put your foot down and really explain how it is making you feel, they I BET, can do tings at their discrestion.. OR swap GPS. I had a HORRID one, who last week told me if I wanted to lose weight, I need to eat three meals a day and swim twice a week. I left in tears.

He didnt look at my history - honestly he was from the dark ages. Its making my blood boil just thinking about it now!! Anyway, I have a lovely lady doctor now, who I think really listens and watches out or me as a patient.

I've been invited to my best friends birthday celebrations next week, which will be sushi and drinking. My two favourite things! BUT I'll be in my 2ww.

Is it true that you can't eat sushi when pregnant, or ttc???? I thought it was when you were pregnant?

    Helpppp!!!!

    Morning all,

I had my internal scan this morning and the lady (who was so lovely) said that my ovaries do look like they belong to someone with PCOS.

So I've now got all my tests out of the way. I'm going to wait for Hubby to do his sperm analysis (we've both got Friday off so I'm going to make him do it then) and give it enough time for all the results to get back to the GP and then I'm going to book an appointment and see what's next. I'm not holding my breath though as I think I'll be told that I need to lose weight before they do anything else (which is understandable).

My PMA for today is that I'm amazed at how calm and laid back I was today about this scan. It was just over a month ago that I cried at my first smear test. I'm clearly getting tougher with all these undignified tests. Plus in comparison to the biopsy last week today was a walk in the park :)

They'll only give me Clomid when I lose some more chunk... :o

Have you considered going private to get the clomid?

I know they say that it works better when your BMI is 30 or under but I've read forums where it's worked for people with a higher BMI (sometimes much higher). I think these people have either been lucky in having a kind doctor prescribe them clomid or they have gone private.

I think I'm probably going to end up in the same situation as you. I have quite a lot of weight to lose and whilst I recognise the benefits of losing weight I do believe it will take me some time to reach BMI 30. I might consider going private when the time comes.

Sending you more hugs anyway and I hope you're feeling a bit better today x x x

    Morning all,

I hope everyone is well. I went to the local pub quiz last night. We haven't been in a while and had a nice catch up with friends. We didn't win but it took my mind off things and made me feel a lot better.

    xx

Glad you had a good evening out x x x

    ** de-lurks

I'm still reading and lurking..... can I guess 8 BFP's for July please :)
On the wedding photos topic, we did a mini shoot the week before our wedding in casual clothes, it was great as we got to see in advance which styles we preferred and then our photographers knew what we did and didn't like. It was only £60 incl all photos. Worth the money......

    ** re-lurks :D

I thought it was just the shellfish aspect of sushi that you shouldn't eat when pregnant. Not sure about when TTC but better safe than sorry, right? I think if you stick to salmon/tuna/veg maki, nigiri and sashimi I'm sure you'd be fine!

Congrats on having the scans over with fannyanna :T It's remarkable how quickly you can get used to those kind of tests isn't it?? I have my follow up appt with my doc in 2 days, but I'm not holding much hope as he didn't seem to know much about it in the first place, I had to tell him I suspected it was pcos, not the other way round! I've just bought a book on pcos though, so I'm hoping I'll get some good info from that.

I misread shellfish and thought you were saying selfish. I thought to myself uh oh another fight brewing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I've just got a book too. I got one from the "for dummies" range. The one thing that I'm really happy about is finally understanding why I am often so tired and why I get faint. My books says that it's one of the symptoms of PCOS.

I'm going to start following a low GI diet too to try and lose lots and lots of weight. Finger crossed :D

Now Im all confused because I thought it was raw fish in any form, in case it upset your stomach ... isnt that what they say?

I'm going to have to come up with an excellent excuse for not attention my best friends party and sending the DW instead in that case!

Hugs BigZ, it must be soo frustrating when you've been trying a while and things aren't going right. I'm only on my second cycle and already starting to worry 'what if it doesn't work'!!!

We didn't BD the last 2 days as I'm sooo tired I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow!! CD36, was 42 days last cycle.
