What have the doctors said about conceiving? If they don't think you ovulate have they suggested anything to help with that?

They just said if I had no luck with TTC to go back after the standard year - hence Sept. I may book in to see GP in the meantime though, cos it's starting to drive me crazy...

ETA: there was talk of Clomid - but they won't give me that til I've dropped the BMI some more... I have another stone or so to lose between now and then :o

I would definately go and see your GP. I think the fact that you have been diagnosed with PCOS should mean that they don't make you wait a year.

They might be able to prescribe you clomid or something?

They'll only give me Clomid when I lose some more chunk... :o

    Morning all,

I hope everyone is well. I went to the local pub quiz last night. We haven't been in a while and had a nice catch up with friends. We didn't win but it took my mind off things and made me feel a lot better.

Zippy hope you are feeling a bit better today. Monster ((hugs)) my dear.

I forgot to temp this morning for the first time in ages  Probably not a great loss as I didn't sleep very well last night. Lots of tossing and turning, weird dreams and trips to the loo.

    xx

BigZeeee I like the sound of that ;)

    Thanks guys :o
I just feel utterly :( like it's never gonna happen (or at least no time in the relatively near future), and there's no point even hoping or trying or anything cos I'm not even ovulating and just... :(

And I see how much it upsets DH too and that makes me

*sneaks in with ovulation inducing, fat free chocolate and sits next to BigZeee*

Oh honey, it will happen, but I can see why you're feeling down about it all right now.

Perhaps you should push for the consultant appt sooner? Explain your concerns and how you're feeling as a result?

Either way, honey, I'm gonna get working on this special chocolate idea of mine now.

Awww BigZee. So sorry you're down. I know TTC can feel like a horrible treadmill at times. You've made fab progress with your weight loss so you are achieving lots even though you don't sound like you feel like it.

I've found following the advice I've got from that book I mentioned yesterday helpful just to give me a bit of hope and help me feel like I've doing something positive. No idea if it actually works but I feel better so it's got to be a good thing :)

    Big hugs xxx

Hi colli  I have that same book! In principal I think it gives some interesting advice, but in practice I found it very difficult to follow, particularly the section on dieting according to whether your type is 'hot'/'cold'/'damp' etc. Also, when I tried to get DH on board (because lets face it, dieting without your OH on board is pretty difficult!) he was VERY skeptical about the whole thing and refused to humour any 'hippy-dippy' stuff from me! :rotfl: Let me know how you find it though, if I can convince him that it's worked for someone else then I might be given a bit more credibility!

Hi Scarly! I'm not following it to the letter rather just using it as a guide. Partly because I don't know where abouts in my cycle I am and partly because she says somewhere not to stress as that's no good for TTC ;) so I'm cutting back on things rather than cutting them out completely and trying to add in the recommended stuff. My OH doesn't buy into it at all either but I don't care :D. Got used to not drinking and trying to eat well when I was PG so it's not too difficult to carry that on. Let me know how you get on!

Glad you had a nice night Emsbet, I'm peeing like a pregnant woman too, not fair! :o

Goppers, I know I'm not exactly an advert for a healthy pregnancy but I had spotting before my positive and the dr's don't think it had anything to do with the mc, lots of people do so all is not lost :)

QQ my "first aid" style wedding photo will not be making an appearance on a public forum :rotfl:

Hope everyone else is ok, any potential BFP's out there lurking?

TBH I think my bathroom trips are more to do with my silly "old lady" sized bladder than any hormones left - at least I hope so!

I think it's good to be healthy eating, cutting back on alcohol and trying not to stress- all these things can only help TTC and you're right it does feel good to be in control of some part of it all. I made a list of vitamins and nutrients that are good both DH and me to aid the TTC then I found out which foods contain high levels and tailored our meals for the week around that. I think I'd rather do it this way if we can than take a load of supplements as I'm already taking Agnus Castus, Folic acid and B6. Anymore and I'll be rattling! ;) This way I've got my enthusiasm or cooking back which I had lost over the last month or so.

    xx
