It's not positive until you get a line as dark or darker than the control. Once you get that ov can be expected in the following 24/48 hours (I think). Keep using them and hopefully they will get darker soon!

Thanks emsbet. So what does it mean when its lighter than the control line....that its almost a positive?! xx0 -

Not 100% sure but I think that you will have some LH (Lutinizing hormone) in your blood stream anyway and so you need to wait until the line is as dark or darker than the control because this indicates a surge of LH which occurs just prior to ov.
I think (although am not sure) that if you had no line one time then a faint line the next this means the LH has increased. This could possibly mean your LH levels are increasing or it could be due to other factors such as amount you have drunk or how long it has been since you went to the loo.

Ahhh
Do you mind me asking how long you've been trying.
Maybe giving yourself a little break is what you need. You often hear about people who conceive when they have a break or have gone on holiday or something. I guess it's true when they say that stress can be a factor.
Maybe he's just feeling a bit emotional about it all too. Obviously it's a very up and down journey as a woman but I think the men can get just as "hormonal" about it all too. Maybe he's just having one of those days.
Either way I'm sending lots of baby dust your way!

We started trying a year ago, but due to various reasons, took a short break, have probably tried about 9 cycles in total.
DH is just so laid back about. I avoid talking to him about anything TTC. But when I do hint at anything I get told "that it's like a watched kettle" and that I'm never going to get a BFP like that.
I think his nieces and nephews were more accidents than planned, whereas in my family, some of my cousins have had really hard times falling pregnant. He just doesn't understand.

However, I'm now on CD19, have been POAS for the last 6 days and got nothing, nada, zip. Have been checking my CM as well and no sign of EWCM either. So come Sunday I realised this is going to be another long cycle and all my PMA crumbled again.Sorry for moaning - again!
Hope you're feeling better now...?

My DH is, apparently, not like most OHs because I ask him what he wants to know and he says "as much as you want to tell me" - all about CM (he came into the room after reading about it in the What To Expect conception section and said "all the things you never needed to know about CM...only apparently I did!":rotfl:), OPKs, temps, etc. The FF app is on his phone and permanently signed in (I update on there when in bed) so he can always look for himself, etc... I must be lucky?

Well, CD44 technically and I'm spotting (again) and I have cramps and I've been wondering a few days if it was imminent...I hope this is real AF now, it just makes me feel "wrong" when it's just pathetic spotting! Also hoping that I actually ov this next cycleI think if I don't ov this cycle either I'll see if I can have the CD21 tests or something...

come Sunday I realised this is going to be another long cycle and all my PMA crumbled again. I was a bit naughty and ate half a viennetta to drown my sorrows
. Then I got a headache from all the unexpected sugar! Serves me right really...

Not sure why - just never been keen on going and end up feeling like a little girl - silly I know!)Oh - thanks for the 'ss' - doh!! Erm - I've got funny crampy feelings in my tummy - a bit like what I'd imagine normal period cramp to be (never had it - lucky me!) and have felt a bit sickly for the last couple of weeks (not actually been sick) but that's all! Hoping I don't get morning sickness - I have a 40 min Metro journey to and from work every day so that wouldn't be pleasant!Nothing much to report here - CD4 and PMA is low. Another two people I know (one from work and one friend) have announced they are pregnant and it's just made me feel a bit sad and I can't help thinking it should be me.
As for me, CD28, expecting AF on wednesday... not felt any different since i had those weird stabbing pains in my side from last week, just guessing it was coincidence... (I'm not SSing!!)
When are you testing? The testing list looks sad at the mo...Remember me saying that we wouldn't get to BD all weekend? Sods law I think I had EWCM on Fri and Sat. Luckily I did manage to get home early enough yesterday to get a quick one in so all may not be lost!!!I'm CONVINCED I can smell cigarette smoke all the time, even though no-one is smoking!!:p
There was another one on BBC saying IVF link to Downs...:lipsrseallittleme82 wrote: »does this mean that OV is imminent? I forgot to bring one today so will stop drinking about 4.30 and do one at 7.30 when I get in this evening!I must be lucky?:A

Don't apologise! Else what's the point of the thread?Hope you're feeling better now...
Thanks. I'm ok just up and down.I find I'm struggling more when I'm on more own at the moment - which is frustrating when I like having time to myself usually. I definitely need to find a hobby to keep my mind occupied - going to get sorted and teach myself to knit - that should keep my mind busy.
[QUOTE=QQuaver;44998084
It should have been you (((hugs))). But you will get pg sooner than you think. PMA!:j

Thanks. I'm desperately trying to keep up the PMA otherwise I just end up going round and round in circles feeling sorry for myself and thinking it's not fair.
Meh! I really need to stop wallowing! What a miserable cow I have been recently!
Right .... PMA .... erm ..... Oh I know! We got a big canvas of one of our wedding photos and it arrived on Friday! It's fab! I love it! :j I want to get more of them!

Hugs Emsbet, i know the feeling re feeling awful for being jealous of other pg ladies, I used to have to avoid people once I knew, which makes it worse as then you seem all mardy, I was just terrified I would burst into tears at not being pg, and that was before TTC.
Well, after my monster cycle last time I am 'pleased' that today is CD1, so that makes me on a 34 day cycle this time, just under 5 weeks, which is more or less my usual (5-6 weeks), just gutted that we didn't BD much this month as DH been ill.
My DH does not want to talk/ dicuss/ think about TTC at all he just wants it to happen without thinking about it, which is what happened last time. I get that, but would be nice to takl about it a bit. I guess thats what these forums are for.
Feeling exhausted today, been in pjs for about an hour.
My PMA for today is booked a girly night away on 24th July in Milton Keynes and London 6th August and I'm going to see TAKE THAT on Wednesday, sooooooooooooooooooooo excited, never seen them with Robbie before. Can't wait.

You are. You have great OH:)
CD21 needs to be done at 7DPO, which would be very hard to predict with our interesting cycles:p
Yeah, but at least if they did the tests they'd see that there was no O in DPO and might actually help me out...Apparently my temp charts are characteristic of anovulatory cycles
