Bigzippy – thanks for your message and first of all congratulations on your weight loss
. I’ll ask for a GTT at my next appointment I think. When I say symptoms have got worse I mean that I’ve found in the past maybe 3 weeks that I feel strange (getting weak, dizzy, blurred vision more frequently) more often than I did before. It’s made me wonder if the Metformin has had a negative effect on my sugar levels. I’m still trying to understand all this but if I’m right to say that insulin resistance makes you hyper and the Metformin tries to reduce that to make you more stable I’m wondering if I actually don’t need it and it’s making my hypo. But the fact that my periods started after taking the Metformin makes me think that I obviously did need to take it. Oh I don’t know – it’s all a bit confusing.
P.S. Enjoy your drink!
*If* you have got any kind of insulin resistance, it basically means that your body doesn't process sugar as well as it should. If you have this and you take a diabetic drug and feel worse then I'd say that either the drug isn't suited to you personally (but I'm not aware that they prescribe any other diabetes drug for PCOS related IR) OR that they have the level wrong. With you only having 1x500mg a day I'd be surprised if it was too high of a dose if you really did have IR though, iyswim. It's definitely something to discuss with the doc though - tell them that you feel worse since going on it, rather than better, and that you want to have the GTT to see what your levels are cos you're worried that your dose isn't matching your need?
I'd also question that it's the Metformin that had such a quick affect on your periods (particularly the first one arriving in 3 days) as the way Metformin works, it's more likely to need some time to kick in - so to speak - from what I understand. (The next 33day cycle could well've been to do with the Metformin though)
Rubbish about your workmate... at least you've found out now rather than when you get your BFP who to trust!Better still wait til the HOD speaks to you and asks if your ok. And then tell him you had told her as she had the same thing! Tit for tat!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes everyone! They are much appreciated, and I LOVE snoopy emsbet, so that was really appropriate!
So sorry to hear your news about you brother's baby emsbet - so sad!
tinkwings this is the first month of using my CBFM, and I think it's great. It's really easy to use, despite the instructions making it sound quite complicated. Basically, you press the m button until it says the correct cycle day (it must be in the first 5 days of your period) then pee on a stick from day 6 onwards until it stops requesting sticks. If it has 2 bars, on the display, it is a high level of oestrogen and lutenizing hormone present, which means it is your fertile period, and if there are 3 bars and an egg, you are ovulating. 1 bar means it's not your fertile period.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Thanks for the kind words guys.
QQ can you change me to CD1 please. AF showed up this afternoon- there have been some largeish clots too which I'm guessing may have been left over from the pregnancy and which could account for the lurking hormones I had over the past few weeks.
Anyway feeling kinda relieved because at least I know where my cycle is at. Hope next month will be ours.
PMA I can have a  at my friend's party tomorrow now!
Mouse glad you liked the snoopy! Hope you're having a fab day.

Thanks. My cold is ok just snuffley more than anything today. Haven't been able to watch the Sky since we had it in as we are not at home this weekend. Will have to wait until Sunday to play with it.
They are doing further tests re: BIL baby so we just have to wait and see.
