It's basically where the egg is fertilised (and so starts to produce hormones) but doesn't implant- basically in the days before early hpt people would just think they had a late period. It's too early to class as a mc and so is called a chemical pregnancy.

 Welcome to the roversbabe and feelingstressed.

roversbabe - maybe get your OH to start taking zinc supplements if he's not taking them already. This will give his little swimmers a boost.

feelingstressed - Lots of us here have irregular cycles. Mine varying from 30 to 80 days, so you're not on your own trying to overcome this. Trying to just work out when you ovulate is a challenge before you even get started :o

  • Hi ladies

I've been lurking for a while (and I'm not really new - just don't want to advertise that we're trying to make babies yet!)

I've read a few of the nastier comments but am choosing to ignore and concentrate on the lovely ladies here and all of the positivity :)

Quick background - I've got a regular cycle (28 / 29 days, currently on a period which started on the 2nd) and we've been 'casually' trying since January this year. We're trying not to turn it into a big deal but 6 months in and nothing so whilst OH is happy to just see what happens I've been noseying here for a while to pick up some 'tips'.

Going to keep my presence here quiet from him for now - don't want him feeling pressured etc. I'm not sure what all of the abbreviations etc mean yet and the whole temping thing is a bit of a mystery at the mo but I will watch and learn.
    Good luck ladies xx

:j Congratulations Keza! I tested again this morning and still only getting TLP on first response and 1-2 on digi. Apparantly you shouldn't worry - a line is a line and HPT don't give an indication of the amount HCG - you need a blood test for that.

    Morning All,

I once again wanted to apologise for my part in the bad feelings last night. I'd kept out of it last time but last night it just wound me up that it was happening again. Which is ironic really as engaging with people means it carries on (doh!). Anyway I see some of the nastier posts have been removed and hopefully that will be the end of it all now. But once again apologies to all you lovely ladies.

Emsbet - I have my fingers crossed for you x

QQ - sorry you're feeling down. Have some big hugs - although I'm not posting those dirty group hugging people :D

I think I've already congratulated people on the BFP's (even the TLP) but I'll say it again - CONGRATULATIONS x

To anyone else that needs hugs (HUGS) and for everyone else have some baby dust (although I've kept a little back for me :)).

Morning all. Congrats to Emsbet, MrsE and Keza and welcome to the newbies.

CD6 here so will be getting the OPKs out in the next few days. have decided not to temp this month, might do next cycle though, assuming I don't get a BFP this cycle that is!!

not feeling too great at the minute and wondering if its to do with hormones after being on the pill for so long. Had terrible headaches all last week, today is the first day I've not had one. i do get headaches when I'm tired but usually only for a day or two! Also been getting that horrible dizzy feeling with flashy lights in front of my eyes when I stand up quite often and today I feel quite sicky :-( I did last night too but just thought I was over full after one of Mum's huge sunday roasts!! Oh well, I'll survive!

OH on nights for the next 2 nights so no BDing till Wed but I doubt it will matter as last cycle was 42 or 43 days so doubt I would OV this early!
