Damn - I had things to comment on and have already forgotten...

GemmaE - Sorry to hear about your weekend. But... at least you got away. Much better than being at home cleaning.
    MrsExcited - Congratulations!

And.... I have a question. IF I had been pregnant this cycle I would have got 'twisted' (drunk) twice while in early pregnancy. I am not a massive drinker but when I have a drink I often do it properly. So I may not drink for a few weeks then drink a bottle of wine over dinner, or a good few brandies in a club. I can take or leave drink pretty much otherwise.
Am I being irresponsible at present? Looking at my diary, this month there will be at least 3 occasions when I'll definately have a drink (say half a bottle of wine) while staying sober for the majority of the other social occasions booked so far.

I wish it was too early - I would love to be one of those people who only discovers they're pregnant at four or five months.

I would love for that to happen to me! I am such a worrier that it would make life easier... no worries as it would all be too late to worry!

Morning all, well Ive walked DS to nursery again this morning (I love being off work!!) Takes a good hour there and back, so Im hoping that three times a week should help me shift a little extra weight that Ive been carrying for too long now!!:o Plus Im eating less, because Im not at my desk and grazing all day!!:p
Well, Ive applied for my first job this morning!! Wish me luck!! I obviously dont expect to get the first one that I apply for, but its through Hays, so Im guessing that they will phone with other vacancies, thats what happened last time anyway!! Quite excited actually as its been a long time since I moved jobs and I would love the chance to use my (almost gained) qualification in a proper HR department!!
Hoping that DH isnt going to put his foot down about stopping TTC until Ive got a job, he hasnt mentioned anything yet and we both agreed that its not the end of the world if it happened.:j

    I wish...... :)

And my guess for this month is 8 (including both myself and QQ - so crack on Q!!):p
    10/10 [STRIKE]£12,156.26 [/STRIKE] 11/10 [STRIKE]£11,950[/STRIKE] 04/11[STRIKE] £12,500 [/STRIKE]Ooops! Okay, back on track - 01/2014 £2,800, 05/2014 £4,500 (my car died!)

I've never looked into it as I don't drink anyway; I would imagine that any risk would be relatively small but I doubt there is any research that would give an indication of how great any risk is. Really it's up to you (and your OH) to decide how you feel about it.

I'm already worrying and we haven't even started TTC yet so I don't think it would make a huge difference to me worrying but I quite like the idea of no pregnancy symptoms.

  • Afternoon Ladies,

Nothing much to report here - I think I have had ov cramps so I could possibly have ov as EW has "dried up?" which I know happens afterwards but last month I had 2-3 EW and this month barely a day? Anyway ... not really sure what is happening so I am just going to leave it to chance this month ....

Can't believe my 13 days off went so fast ... now back to reality with a bump :(

Is anyone testing soon for some positive news?

I predict 8 this month please.

praline, having done a google search online about the effects of alcohol in early pregnancy (first trimester), the consensus seems to be that when you first concieve, the baby isn't feeding through the placenta, so it probably won't do too much harm to the baby if you had a bit to drink before you find out you're pregnant, however, I would ask your doctor as obviously this is just opinions gathered from other forums etc, rather than medical fact.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Afternoon all :j

Just wrote a whole reply then my firefox closed and i lost it

CD 13 for me, nothing to report! OH has started taking all 8 of the tablets the FS recommended to help sperm and I took my soy cd3-7 so really hoping this month is the month, especially after my weight loss and hycosy!!!:D

Quite a few of us are taking soy this month fingers crossed it leads to lost of BFP's!!!:T

Good news on the weight loss front, I've lost 1 stone in 4 weeks!! :jSO pleased, Also got slimmer of the week last night!!:T YAY!!! I'm now a third of the way there to the 3 stone i need to loose for clomid. Planning to phone the consultant if i don't get pg this cycle as he said if i lose alot of weight quite quickly and showed i was serious about it he would give me it, so hoping to have lost at least 20lbs by then!!

Have banana cup cakes in the oven just now i just made with my DS, they smell so good but i am going to resist having any as no idea how many syns they would have in one!!

Hugs to gemma for the weekend and the horrible person! :mad:What a kick in the teeth!! Some people are just SO rude. When i went to my fertility specialist appointment, one of the staff members i was talking to about parking asked me "how long I had left" to which i replied i've just finished and am going home now?! Only then did i realise what she meant i felt like screaming "i've just been to my INFERTILITY appointment actually!!!!!! How insensitive!!!!!!!! People are horrible!!!

Hugs to those on CD1 or have been recently, please keep in mind a febuary baby is better than a christmas baby!!! thats what i'm telling myself anyway!!! :D

Congratulations on the weight loss GG! That's amazing! :)

A little tip for a sweet tooth, stick a banana, covered in choc powder, in the freezer and leave to set. Then you can pull it out and eat it very, very slowly :)

MrsVicx - Good luck with the job application! I'm going to stop saying that I'll cross stuff because it's all getting uncomfortable! So - you can take QQ's crossings as your good luck as well and QQ had better announce her success soon so that I can uncross then just wish people good luck afterwards! *PHEW* what a mouthful.

Susan - I wasn't thinking in the same way as you for the 4 month dunce cap (as in dunce cap because person didn't realise they were pregnant). Sorry if I seemed insensitive I wasn't thinking preferring it due to not feeling ill. I was thinking preferring it so I don't panic about having a baby full stop.
Incidentally, my SIL in law (due June) was trying to lose weight because she was getting a muffin top and only went to the doctors because of constant 'water retention'. Killer is her husband is a Doctor.... a friend of mine (now it sounds like I am making this up - I assure you I am not) went doctors a few weeks back for the results of a random blood test. Found out she was pregnant. She's only been trying a year and didn't realise she was 2 months gone!

Sexym - thanks for the response. I'm too scared to google for ailments and such like. My drinking is well below regular units but I can be classed as a binger (the limits for being a binger are very low, something like 2 days units in one night - it's a dodgy measurement pharmacist friend of mine gave me a test once to prove how bad the test is).

GG - WELL DONE!!!! That is an amazing weight loss in a short space of time. Keep up the good work!

*who really must go and do what she needs to just now. I hear a pair of shoes calling me from the local shops. I may go and rescue them :o)
