Bit of a poll.....
How many DPO's do you wait until you test?
Do you do it early as your impatient (knowing full well you'll get a negative as it's too early BUT it might be a positive)?
Do you do it around 14DPO?
Do you wait a little bit longer (thinking that if it has happened you then wont get a false positive)?
This is my first month trying so I'm really not expecting anything to happen but you never know.....
I'm 10DPO and I don't know whether to test on Friday (14DPO) or on Sunday (16DPO).
I've ruled out Saturday as that's when we have my step-daughter and (I know this sounds awful but) I'm not sure I'd deal very well having my husbands daughter around all day if I'm feeling down as I haven't been able to conceive.
Bet you didn't think it was possible to give such a long answer to that question.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Afternoon all, how is everyone?
Congrats Mrse, here's to a happy and healthy nine months!
I'm going back to work tomorrow after nearly two weeks off, I so don't want to go back. Only four weeks till another week off though so not so bad.
Went house hunting today, viewed a lovely 4 bed needs money spending on it, but great position and plenty of rooms for our little uns when we are lucky enough to have them. Fingers crossed.
Cd33 no symptoms, tested Friday, bfn. Just waiting for af now. Last cycle was 39 days so looks like another long one.
Hugs and sbdta. Oh, and I predict 7 and I will say not including me cos I think i may have been jinxing it x x0 -

It doesn't mean you won't get BFP before that though:p
I usually plan to test at 15DPO, but AF usually catches me:oWent house hunting today, viewed a lovely 4 bed needs money spending on it, but great position and plenty of rooms for our little uns when we are lucky enough to have them. Good afternoon all, hope everyone is OK.
Havent had time to read back but yay for any bfps, boo hiss for any bfns or afs!
We had our much anticipated weekend away this weekend and the hotel was absolutely beuatiful, the reading and wolves football teams were there at the weekend too, room was lovely and so was the food. Unfortunately that is where the nice stuff ends!
DD has been poorly with a cold and seemed to perk up on Saturday so we decided to take her with us (OHs Mum and dad had offered to have her if she wasn't well), however I had caught her cold, but just felt like my head was in a vice with a sore throat so hid it well and decided to go.
OH loaded the car with suitcases and car seat, but about an hour away from arriving (took us about 3 hours in total) announced that we probably should have brought the buggy!! I can't believe it!! He very nearly lost an arm at that point as I knew it meant that any shopping or nice things would be hampered by tired DD (only 16 months old) and she is very clingy to me atm too so knew it was going to be a hard slog.
DD was very tired and cold had resurfaced by the time we got there so just checked in and all had a nap. OH by this point was also ill, only he 'doesn't get ill like other people' (his words not mine!!) and felt very sorry for himself. Had a quick early bird special for tea and went back to the room for an early night, only to have neighbours who were apprently partying with the rooms opposite too and by midnight we had had enough and OH went and asked them to keep the noise down, so we finally got some sleep.
Went to cadburys world (got sooo much chocolate) which was good then went to the bullring for some lunch, but OH thought we could wander around with DD in his arms. She was very tired by the point and wanted to sleep or be with me so had an hour of DD upset before OH relented and said we could go back (as I had originally suggested). For some reason no argos or mothercare in bullring?!? and only mamas and papas and can't really afford their prices for a stroller as a spare!
On the way back from the bullring DDs juice cup came undone in my bag soaking OHs ipod, my blackberry and camera so they are all now broken too! DDs swimming costume strap snapped in the pool too at the hotel so all in all a very bad luck weekend! Left at 9 this morning and so far done 2 loads of washing, sorted out the cases, ironing food shopping and tidied up so a busy day!
Looking abck on the weekend it is already comical but was close to tears for most of it! Also, still no AF since end of Feb beginning of March and last test was BFN. Not sure if I'm all stressed with worrying about that or hormonal or what but little things are setting me off in a rage or tears, and just had 2 colds in 3 weeks.
Sorry for epic post, will now catch up!!Boots: £107.xx on AC :j

Well, we tickled tummies last night and probably will tonight so I'm just gonna see what happens, might sneak some little testy things in the suitcase with me and hope I don't get pulled up at security :rotfl:
I'm hoping our hotel has free wifi, it didn't the last time we went and I don't really want to be sat in an internet cafe at $1 per minute trying to catch up on this thread
Anyway, lots of hugs for everyone and hope we're all enjoying the extra day off work :beer:0 -
Thanks to everyone for the congratulations...it really means a lot. xxxxxxxxWonder_Womble wrote: »Congratulations Mrs Excited :j
I was the same as you, did not believe my 2 x TLPs, I kept thinking 'if I get past 35 days then I'll believe it' but I still didn't. Everyone I have spoken to didn't believe they were pg until they had their first scan. I had an early scan at 6+5 and finally accepted that I wasn't making it up
The < 12 week board is fine, nothing to be scared of. It is a lot quieter than this board though.
Thanks for your message WW - I did a digi test this morning, I was so nervous whilst doing it, but that word came up "pregnant" & "1-2". :j
I'm only worried about the <12wk board cos things can go wrong this early and I think it'll stress me if I dwell on it. I'll probs lurk on it anyway! xxx
So sorry about your weekend away GemmaE - sounds very trying. I'm glad you can see the funny side.
kisses to you all xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

The time to worry about things going wrong is when they actually go wrong (says she who is an Olympic worrier :rotfl:) Someone else posted that comment on here or the < 12 week thread and I'm trying to remember it and not stress.
See you over there when you're ready
Still lurking on here watching for more BFPs :j0
