    What's up chap?

It's obvious you are looking for something to make you feel better. Seems to be that having a pop at people who are less well off than you make out to be is your thing?

Happy to help if that's the case, charitable kinda guy me :)

There seems to be what they call a 'disconnect' in old headcone's philosophy. On this thread he comes across like a rabid Thatcherite on crack cocaine, elsewhere he's a dyed in the wool, capitalist bashing, bleeding heart Labourite.

    Cognitive dissonance, perhaps?

Oh and by the way please let me know your plans to achieve ownership.

Woah there cowboy, stop shootin Tex! ;)

Bought a place before all this madness started and rent closer to work as it's more convenient. The rental income and fuel saving alone means I'm living here almost free, to an extent.

I'm just a really bad person for wanting cheaper prices, well that and I'm tight :D

So how much are you influenced by the cost of your mortgage?

My current mortage costs are neglible, the rental income is 3x the monthly mortgage payment (repayment, don't do interest only). The only real difference in terms of cost, is the last ten years of madness.

See the thing is Headcone, I heard everything I read on here on a daily basis when first looking to buy a place, but ended up buying some years later, saving a considerable amount money. Todays prices are so far above the line, there will most likely be a correction of some sorts along the way. There is no such thing as perpetual motion, or a miracle housing market, or an end to boom and bust.

We're only just entering recovery apparently, this is where the proverbial hits the fan and I'm a very patient person ;)

Your housing acumen is clear Nembot.

You can now bathe in the status of 'housing guru', congratulations
Use your new found position of power wisely.

I'd suggest finding a fresh new patch of forum thread. Self build a 'I'm right coz I don't rent' intro. Sit back and watch those renters of lower intellectual capacity bow to your superior ability.
    ;)
