    *hugs* Iris.

MF is not a sprint race, it is a slow jog. Every little OP you make makes a big difference. Daily interest is always a big no. when your mortgage is younger. It will drop as we pay them off, and you are so much better off than people who have not realised they can reduce theirs through OPs.

Slow and steady won the race, remember. :)

That's another thing that's bugging me Katsu it isn't a new mortgage. I've lived here 10 years and stupidly took money out of the house not once but twice just to survive. It was hard being a single mum coping with depression and I ran up debts twice! My mortgage now is more than it was when I bought this house. Doh! We live and learn.

Thank you all for your kind words during my mini meltdown. It did help.:)

The good news is that I'm feeling more positive today, its time to be focussed again.

Iris - oops, but if it was to survive, then that is fair enough. You have learnt though, and are slaying the mortgage dragon now - and you can keep me company on the longer haul, so it is all good :D

Id like that Katsu and I like the thought of slaying the mortgage dragon!

Good morning to all women out there - a happy, happy Mothers Day to all!

I am now the proud owner for a buddha water feature bought from B&Q with the 15% off - saving £18. Merci Monsieur Froggy. :D:j. i love it, it's part mummys day/birthday present for me. We both liked it when we saw it and in the past would have just bought it but I said that seeing as these both MD and my birthday was coming up soon I would have it for that. Its a good job I didn't have to wait too longer for the voucher to come up too. Very MSE of me I think.:money:

We also pre ordered the pressure washer pack from there which we have been struggling getting one that fits and getting hold of a universal fitting one from B&Q- saving £4 with the 15% code. :money:

This afternoon we have a viewer on the house so it really needs a overhaul for that. It's going to be all hands on deck I think to get it tidy on time. I wondered whether to pull out of it or not seeing as we are undecided at the moment about moving , but I will go with it for now.

I also need to list on Ebay today as its free listing this weekend.

I have the chance to buy something from France to try and make some money with , if it works out I could make £300ish depending on purchase costs. I have some ideas up my sleeve on what to do with it ,so fingers crossed there.

I was thinking of buying the "starting an online business for dummies" book as I really haven't got a clue where to start with running a business and what I need to do to set up. Its a long way off getting to that point yet but I want to give it some thought.

    Have a fab day everyone!

I've just spoke to my mother on the phone and I feel better now. I wish she was living nearby sometimes as even now at 37 I need my mum.

Mum's are so important! I love mine so much and rely on her a lot - advice, a moan, gossip, a giggle - I talk to her virtually every day. I don't think I could ever move far from my parents and don't think you ever grow out of needing them!

I hope you had a lovely mother's day and were spoilt by your enormous brood!

Thanks BabyB, i hope you had a good one too!

I've just used a £10 off voucher code on a Mr O shop with free delivery slot and a free box of green and blacks worth £5 so I've out the free £10 into the ISA. Every little helps.

Ohh sounds like a nice gift (have you listed your debit card on Quidco? in store purchases at B&Q are registered apparently).

Can't say I am a huge fan of those "for dummy" books. As they can give you a basic overview but invariably there are always questions you will have that only another person can answer. I have a fair amount of knowledge on SME's and online business so feel free to pick my brains if you have the need.
