One of my daughter's best friends has aspergers but is high functioning. Her Dad was telling me the other day they get financial help.
I've just Googled the National Autistic Society website and on there are links to benifits you can claim http://www.autism.org.uk/en-gb/living-with-autism/benefits-and-community-care.aspx It may be worthwhile clicking through them to see if there is any help there for you. IT may be that you can claim carers allowance which will give you extra money to pay rent etc.
Good luck with everything.

Hi - have you tried searching nestoria and mouseprice too? Sometimes not all rental properties appear on rightmove and you can search by postcode. I do hope you get somewhere soon. Good luckNew challenger £2014 in 2014

Hi OP, obviously I don't know everything about your situation, but I am questioning whether your eldest child who is student should need money from parents, when they already have an overdraft and a student loan?
I may be well off the mark, but with a bit of budgeting, a student loan and overdraft should cover student rent and living expenses (at least they did when I was a student 4 years ago). Just a thought for the coming academic year as this could cut down your outgoings if you don't fund the eldest child so much and may help you get some of the deposit money together. Good luck and I hope you find a solution to your housing problem soon.0 -

UPDATE
We have today been informed that a buyer has been found for the house..through the existing LA..how convenient..The LL has said that they would appreciate our early exit from the property and that should we find somewhere else they will terminate our tenancy with immediate effect...we are feeling kind of bereft as we have no deposit..nothing
Today we negotiated with LA who now they have secured the sale of the property are being pretty un pleasant and said that we would really expect some form of financial re imbursement to leave the property quickly..we were basically told to get lost.
Husband has spoken direct with head office who said they will not offer any financial assistance
We phoned up about 6 houses today..all 3 beds..4 refused to let us view them because we had 4 children...2 would not let to families
We viewed a house this evening which was 3 bed..but when we arrived it was sadly only really a 2 bed..the 3rd bedroom would not have even accomodated a single bed and the LL did acknowledge this

Sorry to hear that..... making an offer which is accepted, is a long way from moving in... this conveyance will take a few months and the sale cannot go ahead with you in the house - as lenders only offer mortgage funds on "vacant possession"
As we have already said, you cannot be pressurised out of your home.... the LL will have to get a court order to get you out.. i cannot recall - have they already given you a Section 21 notice ?0
