So have we, we live 4 hrs away from London so really upset atm as i cant even do anything on the site

it won't go past the choosing the date! arghhhh! i give up...i'll have a go again later.hopefully, they'll have sorted this out. and the dates i want are still available

This was the same last year when it went live at midnight! - I eventually got some at around 0300!

Going to be just like last year then, a complete and utter shambles for which we did eventually get tickets (thanks to mse link) after approx 6 hours of trying. I think because of the hype, the grotto was a real let down last year. I'm still having a go but without the same tenacity and actually really hoping to see Selfridges this year.

If you can't get through online try this telephone number - 0207 893 8877. It is the grotto help line. I was having trouble online and called this number. They lovely girl booked my slot there and then and I managed to get the time and date (12th December) that I had originally been trying to reserve online. Hope this helps you all.

We have had all the same problems.Phoned the helpline but they cant take any payment and we tried 2 cards.They said they have reserved our dates and will get back to us.
