So the code fords gave me when I bought the fiesta is incorrect for my 6000cd. Went to halfords and they couldn't remove my stereo a the person that tried isn't Who usually does it. So can't get serial code.
So yeh i have a code (4567) but isn't working as I assume fords wrote it incorrect or gave me incorrect manual.
Held down 6 and pressed 1 and loads of words and letters and numers appeared. Then went back to 30 min count down ??? Thanks ???0 -
Sorry is this toy comment?
Not sure what that means, I have a V serial number this worked for me0 -
Apologies. I meant - sorry was this to my comment. About holding 6 and pressing 1? When idid it came up loads of details then as I said went back to countdown. Think I'm gonna have to wait till Saturday and get fords to remove it

Just curious to know why some CAR400 units can be decoded and the one I have is a dealer job.
These CAR400 codes are not calculated but are looked up on a database.
Your Serial Number begins with GM0400X2385507 and unfortunately the available database only goes as far as GM0400W
This means that your radio must be an "after year 2000" radio0 -
I'm in the same boat as you, I took a chance and paid a fella on ebay to find my code. If its successful I'll post details on here. Not sure what fords charge but its gonna be more than what I paid, if it dont work it'll be a lesson learned.0
