when you come to via paypal there is a little box that says add comment, put your V number in there, yes he emails you back. I was wondering with the code you already have from ford how you was trying to apply it to your radio. This is how I done mine. If the code was 4567, press number 1 four times, 4 should display on your radio, second number 5 press 2 five times, and so on then when all four numbers are on your display press 5 once to set it.0

Unfortunately the Clarion PU-2471 is a VIN coded radio and this is a job for the Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service
Thanks for that RegWorts.
Does anyone know how much it should cost the dealer to resolve this?
My friend got a quote for £170. I want to know if she's getting ripped off.
I think that because my friend had something changed in her car (not engine nor stereo) the power to the stereo was lost for a long period. Could this have been the reason why it asks for a code? I would have assumed that if it is VIN encoded then it would work straight away even with power loss for a period of time as the VIN has not changed.
Thanks.

£170 is a ripoff.
Try a a local Radio Decoding Service (ask at your local Car Radio/Audio Store) where the cost will be around £250 -
