I have a Vauxhall Astra and had to have a new battery fitted this week.

Needless to say, I can't find the unlock number for the radio anywhere.

The Radio Type is Car 500/8693
Serial No 31782567

Do you mean a type CDR 500 ?

Can you post the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS, BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING.

Hi guys,


My car had to have it's battery out to be recharged during the cold spell and I've been driving radio-less for the week since. The person I'd bought it from last year never took a note of the radio code and begrudgingly I knew this when I had to take the battery out.


Anyway, I stumbled across this thread and I'm hoping some kind soul can help me out! *fingers crossed*
