I took the battery off my wife's Ford Focus not realising we didn't have the radio code. The serial number is M471440 can someone help with the code.

The HU-605 is made by Mitsubishi and unfortunately the code is only available from the Main Volvo Dealer or a Decoding Service.

The good news is that many Volvo Dealers will give this code for free providing you have all the car`s paperwork...so it will be worth ringing around.

Volvo do not make radios but just affix their badge onto radios made by the well known makers.

So in order to attempt to calculate your code , your radio will have to be removed from the dashboard .
Then please supply your radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the NUMBERS+LETTERS on ANY LABELS , BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

However , as your radio is post 2000 then it is unlikely that your code will be available for free....so read the previous answer also about obtaining a Volvo radio code
