This unit should not be coded. Is the unit working at all ? The unit probably needs resetting or the cable which may be connected directly to the battery, quite common on Alpines, might have been disconnected.

Hi Jazzy, unit removed checked & rechecked - entered code twice to check finger trouble - best guess is that it has been reprogrammed as it is second-hand car.

Have you physically removed the unit to check the serial number?? or are you using the number in the car handbook??

If you have removed the unit then chances are the unit has been recoded in the past - if so then you will have to have it recoded again
