Thanks for the offer of brambles stroppyjock - unfortunatley, Inverness is just a leeeetle too far, especially given the fact that i need to stop for the loo every 10 minutes!:o
Cheapskate, yes things with bubs are good thanks. She's my first - definitely not number 4!!! If you're over the border in Lancashire, I might be forbidden from talking to you
:D:rotfl:However, as I am a southerner at heart and OH has not yet given me my yorkshire passport, depsite being married for 2 years, i think it'll be ok!
Picked up my support stockings from chemist this morning - they are a SCARY shade of.... um....... brown / pink . If anyone had skin this colour there'd be something wrong wih them!!!
No, I'm not over that border! I'm in West Yorkshire still, lived in the same village all my life! I WILL get around to PM you this aft - promise! If you hang around with us northerners, you'll become one by default!!

freezing here today and the rain has just stopped.
Day 2 out of 3 for me hosting mum and tots this week, everyone cant come on one day so its being spread out. The front room was trashed by 6 kids this morning and DS1 got upset as he found DS2 race car drivers head across the room from his body!
Just one more child and parent to go tomorrow!
Good luck everyone with GCSE results, I always thought they were on a thursday xxMum, wife and dinnerlady!0 -
Oh I watched 'who do you think you are' it was fab wasn't it?
Just been out brambling and collected 2 tub fulls and then found a couple of apple trees, not sure which type so don't know what I can do with the apples but hey ho, worth a go, DS's loved it, DS2 said it felt like we lived in a cottage picking the fruit- it only- we can dream can't we.0 -
This is classic. I am famous for having no sense of direction. I drove home from Barnet today (I live in Cheshunt) and ended up in St Albans, so what should have been a 16 mile round trip ended up at 32 :rotfl:
I sold a dvd on Amazon today, perfect timing as I have had it listed on there for ages and was considering taking it off.
Am cutting my cleaner down to once a week now as feeling much better and had a stroppy letter from my solicitor!
Molly - I adore Center Parcs. Which one are you going to? I have been to the Elvdon one several times, I love the log fires, and the Spa, oh the Spa ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh :smileyhea
I remember getting my GCSE results, I as so ill with Chickenpox my cousin had to collect them for me. I was so pleased with my results I ran down the end of my road in my pjyamas covered in pink Calomine lotion screaming. An elderely lady stopped me and asked me if I was ok, I was screaming with excitment, luckily Mum ran over and explained to her, I think she thought I had lost the plot!
Hugs to all that need them xHmmm will add up debt and stick on on later!0 -

*waves feebly* Hello folks
Just coming out of a migraine, so please forgive me if I don't make a lot of sense.
Before I forget, I hope those getting GCSE results today do well; it's many years since I did my O Levels, but I still remember the trauma of results day!
Taplady I hope Louie was OK at the vets; I'm all in favour of microchipping, and a lot of the dogs I've looked after have had microchips.
OS today is confined to making HM pizza (dough is being made in the BM as I type) as I'm not well today; just hope I'll be able to eat it! I say that because lunch left me feeling decidedly icky.:(
An old friend rang us last night - she's going to visit on 19th September, and will be bringing her very big, naughty Great Dane cross, Jay with her. I think I'd better move the breakables!:D
Gotta go, the pizza dough is ready. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKKKKKKKk I have just been to Tesco, spent £83 gulp and thats only half the shop, the rest comes from Aldi, I do wish they sold bread flour at Aldi........
I did manage to pick up a bacon joint reduced which will do fine for a sunday supper for us hot and then I will slice it to use with salad and in sandwiches, I also bought OH 4 scotch pies which I have frozen. Ice cream has gone up to £1.20 and the dreid milk has increased to £2.17 for a large packet.......everything is going up in price it seems. Think we might be on bread and dripping before long.
OH reitred to bed with a dizzy just before I went out, he was up when I got back.
Just done the sausage for supper, sausage, mash, carrots and green beans. Banana split for afters. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
