  • Morning all!

GCSE results are out today?! Oopsie, better text my sister lol. I had it in my head that they weren't out til Thursday, I'm sure they always used to be... lol.

Off to uni again today, done the washing up already this morning, and feeling glad that I didn't bother with the washing last night, as it's still raining outside. Been kinda lucky with uni too, we were told beforehand that we'd have to pay for daily parking tickets, as we couldn't collect the annual ones until the start of term in September.. Well, we still can't collect the annuals permits yet, but they've given us the daily tickets free :D They're providing lunch ever day as well, which was huge yesterday, so if it's like that all week, I can just have something light in the evenings, which is easier.

    Have good days everyone,

    Lucy :)

No rain here at the moment, the sun is out but there is definately a chill in the air have had to put a sweatshirt on

Plans today - office work then more modules for my course this morning. This afternoon am heading out to start the uniform shopping  have loads to buy as DS going up to secondary. Its going to be an expensive week. Also need to pick up his stationary bits & pieces. Am late this year but thought he might have a growth spurt (which he hasn't :o)

Am not looking foward to it at all. Have some tesco clubcard vouchers for pizza express so might have that for dinner, it not will be something quick & easy.

You probably already know this Essexgirl, but Tesco's stationary is all 3 for 2 just now, we got some really good quality stuff very reasonably in there. :)

I'm sitting here waiting for the men to bring back my WM and hob. DW needs to go on but am waiting til they have fitted the WM just in case!

It's sunny here, but very windy! I went out to put the recycling in the bins and I just chucked on a floaty top that is meant to tie at the back but didn't tie it. I think I flashed half my neighbours cos the wind took my top :rotfl: . I'll change before work!

Good morning everyone (although some of you have been up for 4 hours by now and it must feel like lunchtime.)
Good luck to all with relatives and / or friends expecting GCSE results today. Hope everyone gets what they need.
Not sure what we will eat today as I had planned macaroni cheese but not sure now.
Brightish here at the moment, so wm about to go on. Then bm to go on.
Hope everyone has a good day.
    Cheers

Morning all & good luck to GCSE-ers! :) DS's GF gets hers today, hope she does OK.

Weather started off ok, but now piddling down again! :( May have to use TD today, as there's loads of washing piling up.

Trying to organise community meeting - derelict house near me that's attracting a bunch of kids who are causing all sorts of problems in the area. Council seems [STRIKE]unwilling[/STRIKE] unable to do anything, their options mean spending money, & they haven't got any!!

Anyway, OS-wise today, going to bake various things, freeze what I can & see if I can pick some more brambles if the rain stops. Also put some stuff on local site to sell. Trying to have an NSD day, but realise I need baby milk - hope I can steel myself & just get that!! :D Need to finish ironing, sort out some more outgrown kids' clothes to give away or sell & clean bathroom _pale_

See you all later & hope SOME of you get some sunshine!!

    A xo

    Morning!
Good luck to everyone waiting for GCSE results - I've got my fingers crossed for all of my students.
Today will be a sorting out, washing and recycling day, with a touch of batch cooking on the side, ready for the onslaught next week. I'm expecting an Approved Foods delivery on Friday, hopefully.

I use Dylon machine dyes regularly, to revamp charity shops finds and even to change the colour of some my bamboo fibre knits. They are idiot proof providing that you follow the instructions to tthe letter, then wipe the door seals/ glass window to remove any tiny remnants left behind. It takes about an afternoon to sort out.

We have acres of pale blue sky and 'Simpsons' clouds over herein the east- time to bottom out the wash basket, I think.

    Have a good day everyone.
