You're not going on my ignore list ampersand, too much useful info comes from you
. £10k certainly does sound good! Anything could happen between now and then though so I've got to just make sure I hit each monthly drop and the rest will take care of itself. I got £8.31 interest for December on my Nationwide Flexdirect current account which is maxed out at £2.5k, I always get a bit excited when someone throws free money at me, however small it is!
Total in ISAs = £8,863.500 -
Ditto on my e-a/c with natwest:-)
To London and Brighton tomorrow+w/e, back for Mon Bank appt to bully same or better interest rate as this year's favourable one comes to an end.
Stay warm, rug up for work.
Hope you nabbed a good sale bargain or two.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

So this will be the year I hit £10k!! Pretty exciting stuff, apart from it would only buy me the front door of a house. Going the right way though, and if I can meet my partner in crime, she might have some cash aswell...
I've made two New Years resolutions: one is to join a running club and get fit, the other is to read more books. Of course saving money is an on-going thing.
Glad you had a good christmas and happy new year to you too.
Good luck with hitting your next big miles stone. £10K is an awesome achievement!!
On the book reading side of things... ive had a massive clear out and ive got over 100 books i want to shift! all are basically brand new, having only been read once or twice and then stashed on a book shelf.
£1 each. PM me if your interested in any and i can give you a list of the authors. (please be interested! even my local charity shop doesnt' want to take all off them off my hands!!!)
Good luck for the year ahead!!House Deposit ≈£10,600.00 (25/03/14)

just read through all 35 pages mw. Very inspiring. I am currently in debt of £986 and living on a low income. I have set up a standing order to try to save £100 each pay day (weekly) so hoping to get to £5200 by 2015. Over the course of 40 years, it is well over £200k plus interest. I currently still live with my parents and help to pay some of the bills. Have a few problems with my car just now, needs to get repairs done etc etc.
hope you get your 10k goal soon. :money:0 -

You sound exactly right and ready for being inspired by this Thread.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

A thoroughly inspiring story mw. Well done. I am 20 and am in a low paid job also. Will continue to follow this thread.

Thank you again one and all!
Received some bad news last week - the company I work for announced it will be relocating, resulting in redundancies. That means I will be redundant by June at the latest or March at the earliest. I'm due to receive approx. £1k possibly 1.5, but then my income will cease until I find new employment. So I'm please that I'll be getting paid to leave a job I didn't particularly enjoy, which is good, but I'll be joining the thousands unemployed, which is bad.
On the plus side, I get to have a one to one meeting with the HR lady who is super hotTotal in ISAs = £8,863.500 -

Oh, mw - have you been told that you will be one of the redundancies, or are you summisng you'll be one of them? Would you re-locate if this is an option?
You've been with present employer a while now - is £k1-1.5 the correct likely pay-off?
Regardless, it's the perfect opportunity to get out hunting hard for new work - and a farewell invitation with la princesse d'HR.

That's a good way to look at your bad news.
You've got two months to get your CV in order, and spread the word that you are open to offers of a new job; you've got savings, so no need to panic about money, though obviously you've got to be careful; and maybe that super hot HR lady can do more for you than raise your temperature.
And remember, it's your job that is redundant, not you.
It's happened to me three times, and I shudder to think where I would be if it hadn't.Eco Miser
