mw- I wear silk, cashmere, angora, vicuna, Harris tweed, quality vintage[inc. footwear], lambswool, leather, sheepskin etc.etc -and always a hat:-)....most from well-chosen jumbles and Charity Shops.
Further, it all holds value for Bay of E re-sale, or at a London market I travel to do most weeks. This sort of 'play'[even at age 64] is sound and good on all sorts of levels and you're much more likely to find yourself being found by The One...which campaign will also gear up as you feel yourself looking good, getting to know what becomes you.
Check out the better end of TK Maxx too.
How about doing your Man About Town trying out/trying on/learning about mw's New Man Look, while deciding[with proper research and knowledge] where you'll let that savings total drop back to. Then wait for Boxing Day, by which time you'll have had another 2 paydays in and you can feel confident in this special spend having no downside. Remember to keep all your receipts. Did you ever get an old-fashioned spike? Worst-case scenario or change of heart, you return things.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hope you're having a great Christmas mw - so much for you to be proud of, even more so considering the tougher times that assail so many now. You must be thanking your lucky stars[except it was hard work and hard-won wisdom, not luck]that you met your lightbulb moment head-on and really turned your life around.
So, are you ready to hit the sales tomorrow? Still swimming? - might be handy with this weather.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Hi ampersand, hope you've had a nice Christmas too! Will be hitting the sales tomorrow, so hopefully there will be something left. Been playing a bit of football but not been swimming, kind of lost interest in that. I've ended this year about £30 behind my highest figure savings wise which is ok. Looking to hit £9k in February and £10k is September, seems so far away at the moment though.Total in ISAs = £8,863.500

Yes it was a very nice Christmas with family thanks, did you have a nice Christmas? Happy New Year to all who follow this thread!
So this will be the year I hit £10k!! Pretty exciting stuff, apart from it would only buy me the front door of a house. Going the right way though, and if I can meet my partner in crime, she might have some cash aswell...
I've made two New Years resolutions: one is to join a running club and get fit, the other is to read more books. Of course saving money is an on-going thing.Total in ISAs = £8,863.500 -
Like the sound of those, especially the second one,mw:-) Everyone who comes here says it: you ARE an A* achiever. £10k this year! I can hear Martin applauding from here.
I'd love to start you off with Horatio Clare's 'Running for the Hills'[1p+postage from the shop-less ykw], but better still, JOIN YOUR LIBRARY. You'll be surprised how they've changed.
&'s as bossy as ever: better put me on your Ignore list.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:
