I hope I haven't added to your worrying but thought you might want to hear my experience. I heard again, after phoning them, in a week. I was so shocked and quite upset by their attitude of indifferance that I had been denied the normal procedure. I now have until the 5th of September to put in my appeal evidence. They did say it would be looked at once more before it goes to Tribunal but it's hard to believe them after being told incorrectly about the reconsideration!!0

omg it will be a week tuesday that i phoned
im panicing again now, i had calmed down after revaluting things and realising once i send them reports from my gp and consultant theres no reason why they shouldnt re instate my dla. how can they reconsider it withing a week and not allow you to send in further evidence? thats so unfair, im really upset now

same with me said would be 12 weeks before looked at again was 9 weeks, if they had waited like was on there system and as i had asked to be wrote on my paperwork that i had a rehy appointment the next day i would have been able to tell them what was said etc and letter could have been faxed stright though, now i have another 12 weeks to wait while it goes full circle again just aswell with the mess he made of my appointment have to see another rehy now0 -

The reconsideration can take up to twelve weeks. Your have four weeks to submit your evidence. If it takes you nine weeks to submit your evidence then you should have advised them of this prior to the four week stage. The DM cannot wait indefinitely for people to bother to send evidence.Gone ... or have I?0 -

if it was out of being lazy then i would agree this was far from this but they were told in more than enough time that i had this appointment and i even got it brought forward was told that i had 4 weeks so i sent the only paper work i had at the time in and was told after the 4 weeks it was up to the descion maker if they would except it i kept them fully informed, regarding physio appointments and referals with times a days that i asked to be put on notes
i will now probably have the same situation again because of the 1st rhemy that was useless and i now have to wait for that appoitment again so my GP says depending on what the letter he wrote says and the blood results , but doesnt help that sue who does my dla forms is away on hols till the 6th so have a week to get all this sorted out and a appointment with her when her wait normally a month min.0 -
I know they are under pressure to start getting tough on DLA and ESA applicants, but I think, reading your condition you have every reason to appeal.Me transmitte sursum, caledoni0

With DLA you can work the ESA is for been off ill, I was under the impression too these were different medicals. I know exactly what you mean I had one for DLA last nov and the dr said was rediculous them not accepting. Had one then for ESA march and it felt so invasive she was horrible even though been told can't work after another stroke she wouldn't accept this and put on form ask consultant for advise to go back to work.....0

Hi guys i went to see my gp today, he said he would write a report based on records he has on file, i gave him a sheet of paper showing the things i feel i struggle with.
he also printed me a copy of the report sent to him from my consultal at the orthopedic hospital from april this year which is very help full.
it states the follwing
I saw markoo today, the pain is worse since he was reviewd 12 months ago,he is no longer working due to the pain he is in,his mobility is not actualy limited,he has pain when walking, he regualy experiences pain dueing the night,
examining his left hip he has flexion to approx 80 degrese with no rotational movements.
i have given him a prescription of tramadol to see if this controls his sysmtoms.
i have had a chat with marko today regarding future management of his hip including joint replacement surgery, he does not wish to be considerd for any joint replacement surgery at the current time and is enquiring about alternative anglesia.
im quite happy with what he wrote, only thing i was unsure about is when he says " his mobility is not actualy limited" by that i assume he means technicaly im able to walk, but not without pain as he states directly after "he has pain when walking" which would be true and the fact the report states hes spoken to me about having a hip replacement must say something.
I dont want the DWP to read that the wrong way. but other wise im happy with that.0 -

Its not a good report for DLA purposes and I wouldnt use it frankly, as I said previously taking tramadol for the pain means nothing because they are handed out like smarties.
You should have asked for a referal to the pain clinic, thats what happens when you are in lots of pain, if your GP hasnt mentioned or your specialist they musnt think that you are in lots of pain and the tramadol supports that.0
