uropachild no even moving without NEEDING to. The steroids are given 24 hours apart I think, used to give their little lungs a kick start incase they need to be delivered early. I had DS1 at 34-35 weeks depending who you ask he was 4lb10 and could breathe on his own, I'd had those injections, unsure if they helped or not but other babies in the SCBU who were born at same point couldn't. Hope everything goes ok on Tuesday.
rach it's a good idea to get things ready then like you say you won't fill it with other stuff. DS1s cot became a storage thing until he was 5 months (only little so in his crib longer) always said it wouldn't happen with DS2!
hex2we weren't supposed to be organised, it's just not right :rotfl:
Woooooohoooooooooooooooo it didn't rain or blow awayactually it was nearly dry too. Lizards fed and watered, forgot those on the list. Turtles fed, checked on. Kids fed, DS1 of course deciding he wanted food after all. Both boys in bed by 9pm which is better, even if DS1s not asleep we need to get back into the routine of going to bed. Made a small start on assignment. Suppose I should do more.
One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Seriously you can't walk through any room in this house with the lights off at the minute as you will stand on something/break your neck and I hate it. I need to get to the bottom of it but the way I am feeling it's happening slowly.
I need to pick a room to start on and finish it I think, but picking the room is the hard bit as they are all as bad as each other :eek:0 -
Tea made, decluttered and kitchen tidied. More laundry done and I'm about to start the next load, so it can go out first thing tomorrow. DS1 arrived with friend and I've just made them some sandwiches before tidying the kitchen again. DS2 is about to go to bed and then I can finish a programme I recorded before getting ready to meet DH in the pub for a drink. Maybe I shouldn't have poured myself that small glass of rose...
AnW’s Mum – hope you have a nice weekend to recover. DS2 only got dressed today because his friend next door phoned for him to play mid-afternoon.
Fedup – glad you’re feeling a bit more cheerful.
Hex – was he hinting? I could probably coach someone to be more organised, but can't put it into practice for myself.
Pollybear – one of my favourite outings is to garden centres. Mum loved them, too, but DH only tolerates them occasionally.
Uropachild – hope everything stays well with you and the babe and there are no more scary episodes.
Kazw – remember to have at least half an hour to yourself! Sounds like you could do with it tomorrow.
Toots – you’re doing really well with that list of yours! Please don’t forget to take it easy.
See you all tomorrow.0 -
toots - don't worry I am being careful, I know for once to put myself (and the baby of course) first! In a way the SPD is no bad thing as I'm forced to slow down!! Only 4 days left to work :j:j:j Hope you are being careful too. xxMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Miss A and W love PJ days! Miss A and I played mahjong for a while. We have just got back from Mum and Dad's my sister and her family were there. Was good to catch up properly with them all hence the late return.
Have deliberately not done much today as it was so full on at work and I was a bit miffed to say the least! Calmly and rationally told the boss why I was fed up too, he was not fully aware of the causes at the time but is going to try and get something sorted.
ETA Didn't get chance to put the lottery on for work and just seen that we would have won a tenner, good job it was not the big win!Official Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Well I have yet again been bitten by something in the garden, on my ankle this time, I have an ankle swollen to the size of a small elephant's leg, can't move my ankle and it is hot, red and swollen, OUCH!!!! Is this a sign I should give up gardening????Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0

Hugs that is so painful and itchy. No it is not a sign to give up gardening just to try some insect repellent and my top tip don't open the water butt and scoop out water in a vest top and shorts;)
Morning all
Queen Victoria work me up at silly o'clock (she was the wrong side of the kitchen door and I could not get back to sleep.
I've started my bread and sorted yesterday's laundry.
I need to take DS1 to cricket by 10:00 and want to get everybodies clothes packed by then.
DH is due back from the states this afternoon so I'll need the washer empty and ready to go for any clothes he needs to take with us next week. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Rach take it easy hunny - hugs xx and hugs xx to anyone else who wants/ needs them xxx
Ok I feel a little James Brown in me today - wow I feel goooood, woop woopI had such a hard time fighting the cravings off for a cigarette yesterday - anyone who has ever stopped smoking knows how hard it is, it seriously is almost painful! I have cut down over the last week to just 8 in total over 5 days. Yesterday was my 6th and hardest day but I promised myself if I could get through the day then I would allow myself a cigarette and cuppa before bed - well I never had the cigarette
By the time I went to bed I neither wanted one or needed it so rewarded myself with a facial instead
My tongue is returning to a healthy pink colour along with a rosier, fresher complexion in my face
I'm sorry - I know this isn't to do with flying but I am sooo pleased with myself
Ok off to sort some of the kitchen out now
Jen xEverything happens for a reason0
