Oops - I got talking in the supermarket and I'm now struggling to have tea ready on time. Spuds started in the microwave to finish off in the oven, and steak waiting to defrost in the micro once the spuds are out.
For myself I'm thinking about making a kind of tuna salad with assorted stuff and some creme fraiche. Should stop me from putting butter on, I hope. DS2 will probably have tuna and cheese. Best open two tins, then.

lil-me - I so know what you mean. Can't believe we're in the last week of the holiday and I still have four rooms pretty much like that (without counting DS1's room). Progress is slow.
fedup - I'm sorry you're having a tough time. (((((hugs)))))
vanilla - sounds like you're having a good weekend. You've done loads.
boddy - hope you feel better soon

Just thought - has anyone heard from PenPen? She hasn't been around for a while. Hope she and her family are ok.

I'm off to carry on with tea/laundry. x

    Hi everyone

Just caught up on the thread after a couple of extremely busy days at work.

Miss A has just got dressed in time to go to Mum and Dad's for our usual Sat night Chinese :rotfl:

Thanks for all the hugs ladies (nearly typed guys!)

Feel better after my early curry tea, just waiting for it to go down then I'm making some chilli jam to cheer myself up and to pop away ready to use/give as a gift. Then have some ice cream for a pud

Then will finish off what I need to get for the cake baking session next month - have got almost all the ingredients, just checking what's left to get in

    Good evening :)

Today I've done some washing and got it all dry and put away. Went out with DD1 and visited two garden centres (including one where we petted miniature pigs and a goat) and then had a pub lunch. Then back to hers for a cuddle (aka flattening) with her staffie.

Think we're going to do another garden centre tomorrow. My DH is still on holiday and hers is working all weekend.

Oh and I got the grass cut and planted a new hebe.

Still catching up, hope everyone's OK.

Hi girls, i haven't been skiving on purpose, i've been in the hospital!

I am soooooo glad to be back home!! :D

Yesterday morning i woke up with really bad pains in my belly. My whole belly felt tight when i walked and i was stooping. I had a localised bruise type feeling on the right of my belly and where my scar is from my c-sections really hurt. Every time the baby kicked i was doubling over in agony and i was getting regular tightenings with bad period type pains.

So i went into hospital to get checked out. The trace was lovely and normal, nothing in my urine, nothing showing on scan, BP nice and low, cervix long and closed. EH!?

I continued to be in pain yesterday, but when i woke up this morning it was much better! It kind of feels like the day after an injury - like when you've exercised too hard or a bruise is feeling better the second day, you know. Very odd.

It does still hurt where the baby is kicking me if it does massive stretchy kicks and my belly feels tight when i walk for long periods, but that's it.

Unfortunately due to my history (1 stillbirth, 1 neo natal death) they are always overly cautious and they wanted to keep me in, but i pursuaded them to let me home. When i asked the benefits of staying in the doctor talked about putting me on steriods if the pains came back etc. I just didn't see what difference being half an hour down the road would make.

I am under strict instructions to go back in if anything gets worse or i have anything like leaking or bleeding etc.

It's just so good to be home!! I know hospitals aren't the best place to be at the best of times, but i just hate being there on that ward. Apart from it reminding me of the worst times in my life everywhere i look, its just depressing. The girl opposite me was waiting or a doctor to come and discharge her for 6 hours yesterday. She didn't leave until after 10pm and only after i had listened to her sobbing for hours in her bed because they couldn't find the doctors to tell her that she was safe to go home. Then today i saw the woman in the room opposite me sobbing and rubbing her belly.

Also, i was assessed at 9am and was waiting for a doctor to come and review me because i thought i was going home early afternoon. They didn't tell me i could go until 5.30pm - over 8 hours later!!! He came once earlier on while i was having a wee, but didn't stick around. So from then on i was scared to go to the loo. I went to the nurses station every hour and asked for an update and told them i was going to the loo immediately after speaking to them and they had to physically restrain the doctor if he came back.

So, yeah. I am finally home and after all that i still don't know what was up!!! Definitely no flying for me for a while now. :(

uropa child - please take it easy. How far along are you? xxx

I have hung up the washing (with DH's help) and cleared the piles of stuff out of the cot. It's now made up...I know it doesn't need to be but it's my way of starting to get ready and also be less likely to pile everything in there again. Think we need more storage in that room though.

Was in rather a lot of pain after that, even though didn't sit for long, bath has helped and we are going to watch a Morse dvd tonight :)
