Hi Tom,
From researching this topic last year there appears to be 2 ways of putting RSS headlines on your own web site:
1. Linking to another web site which processes the RSS feed and puts the headlines on your own web site, as you've done. There may be others which don't have any limits.
2. Using a server-side RSS parser on your own web host. Parsers are written in a variety of languages including Perl, PHP and Java, so which one you could use depends on what your web host supports. There is a list of parsers here --> http://rssgov.com/rssparsers.html.
The one I've used is JSMFeed. It's a Perl script which periodically creates a JavaScript file on the server containing the RSS headlines. You include this file in your .html pages in a <script> tag and then use functions to display the headlines. I liked it because it doesn't force you to use certain font styles, colours etc; it just provides the raw data and lets you format the headlines according to your own style sheet or fonts etc.0 -

I was wondering if I should start using ads such as google ads to raise a bit of revenue for the site
Has anyone else used ads to raise money ? If so, which would you advise me to use ?
