Need to ask a couple of questions if I may !

In DW when I set the text to middle, it places the text in the centre of the column horizontally and also vertically
How can I seperate them so the text centres horizontally but fills the column from the top.
I have to leave line spaces at the bottom to push the text up to the top

I'm having problems with the code to hide the email addresses. If I post up the existing code can someone show me how to do it. ?

For the text alignment, click the cursor in the table cell and in the Properties, select Top in the Vert dropdown. You can select whole rows or columns and do the same.

For the email, switch to Code view and replace the whole email link, e.g.:

<a href="mailto:xxxx&#64;yyyy.me.uk">Contact U8's </a>

with the code generated by the obfuscator.

I too have this problem with text floating in the middle. I cure this within Dreamweaver by going to Modify - Layout mode - Convert tables to layers- OK and then Modify - Layout mode - Convert layers to table -OK (I choose the smallest collapse empty cells less than 4px wide option) and then saving. Don't know why this should work but it seems to do the trick.

Chippy - will this hide the email from things gathering email addresses? Although people viewing the page can't immediately see your email it's still there in the page source.

It depends how intelligent they are I suppose. It's better than not hiding the email address, though ultimately anything can be decoded. An obfuscator which uses Javascript can be made as complicated as you wish and is therefore harder to crack.

I tried the obfuscator and when I pasted the code over the original code it displayed the email address in place of the "contact U8's" link

@kevin, I tried your option too. I put in the email address and the text I wanted. There is a test link...this displayed my email address in the bottom left hand corner again...I thought it was supposed to hide it

@terry, I got that problem sorted thanks !, i had the wrong path name inserted.

did u upload the css file that should fix you special rollover effets, as for the home page, make sure that it is in the main folder, normally called htdocs or WWW and name to index.html or index.htm

not sure what you mean live page
