  • ok...I repaired all broken links.
    I managed to sort out the home page issue...thats all working now.

    Still don't know what to do about the behaviours and fonts :confused:

    I checked the css file uploaded to the server and it seems to contain all of the code to handle the behaviours....I don't know looking at it if its coded right, but there is code to set Font colour and behaviours for hover.
    I think it might be located in the wrong place to affect each file..I don't know :confused:
    I checked the map and it's located in the middle of the pages it's supposed to dealing with. I have 14 pages needing to be affected by the behaviours and the css file is listed in the same way as the files themselves...is this right ??

    Tip - Rename the HTML files so that the filenames do not contain spaces.

    Not a good idea to use spaces in any filenames for web use, be it images, HTML, stylesheets :)

    That looks fine - Dreamweaver lists files alphabetically. Each page should refer to the css file. Open any page of your site within Dreamweaver then press F12 to give a browser preview. You can then see if the page looks as you expect and the try the links to see if they work correctly to view other pages locally. This will check whether everything is fine within Dreamweaver. Following Kilty's point I would also make the filenames all lower case.
  • Ok...I done all of that.
    I've checked the site and it works ok except for the Font and the behaviours which I still cant get to work.

    I dont understand why it all works when I hit F12 and not after uploading ?????

    I'll have another bash at it in the morning. Thanks for all your help !

    phoenix website

    Have a look ! All thats missing is the larger Font and the behaviours down the left hand side.
    I'll have to look at the contact emails too, I think theres a way to publish the details without attracting spam...not sure how thats done yet :confused:

    Is it possible for someone to login elsewhere and tidy the site up a bit ??
    If it is possible, it's be great if someone would volunteer to help out...I'd be really grateful.

    Hi,

    The problem is the URL for the CSS is wrong <Line 8>;

    <link rel="stylesheet" href="../../My Documents/Reddish Phoenix Web Site/mm_travel2.css" type="text/css" />

    Unless you have a folder called My Documents on the server - which would be a little on the funny side ;) Try changing this to point to the directory which holds mm_travel2.css.
  • Change
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="../../My Documents/Reddish Phoenix Web Site/mm_travel2.css" type="text/css" />

    to
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="mm_travel2.css" type="text/css" />

    I'm assuming that mm_travel2.css is in the same folder as the home page.

    For preventing spam, Google 'email obfuscator'. There are various online tools for generating Javascript which disguises email addresses.

    Yes, it needs to be changed on every page.

    Chippy has specified what it should be changed to. Read the link I posted previously about relative and absolute links as this is clearly the problem and you need to understand it. Then come back with any questions.
