Hi all, Hope you don't mind me joining in? I am embarking on a new OS lifestyle change and need some like minded people to talk to!

I'm literally just starting out, but have big plans to become pretty self sufficient with growing veg, home baking as much as possible, just need to practise a bit!

    Hello!

Made a lovely lasagne for dinner for me - heavy on the veg so didn't even try and inflict it on the menfolk and kiddywinkles so they had pork steaks. Anyhoo my Leek and Bacon lasagne was lushious! pulled up some of my home grown (whoo hoo) leeks (that resembled spring onions in size lol) and threw in a few sliced home grown carrots too dinky to do much else with. I think you could easily do without the bacon if you wanted to make a totally veggie version - maybe season with a little salt and add a little more of the other veg

Recipe if you want it : http://www.goodtoknow.co.uk/recipes/453494/Extra-cheesy-leek-and-bacon-lasagne

I put the other 5 portions in boxes to be frozen but one might make it into work with me tomorrow.....

Had a bit of a heart attack when I went to do my online banking there. My electricity direct debit went out for £500 instead of £50! That leaves me pretty skint, to say the least! I cancelled the Direct debit online but the queue to get through to the bank is 15mins, I will try again later when its a bit quieter. Mr Grumpy is only mildly grumpy tonight, his back is sore he said, so that's the acrobatics out this evening ;):D

Have a good one, all. XXX

JackieG - don't be too hard on him, its his birthday! Hope he has a good one. Not sure my bank account could take that amount of debit, in fact I'm sure it couldn't! Hope you get it back soon.

    Welcome Bramble.

Have started to knit a doorstop. I know that sounds odd but have been looking at doorstops and thought a knitted one would be a bit different.

    Take care. XX
