We get a letter from the H@lifax every now & then (could possibly be yearly) about going in to see them to review our mortgage, so that may be what the guy you spoke to was talking about??
Sorry, I forgot you can only OP a certain amount or you get hammered with ERC, so my dim question really was dim, just ignore me!!:rotfl: Hope the H@lifax have got their act together & sorted it for you now.

Not at all - theres no such thing as a dim question
. It makes me think about what we are doing and whether its the best thing to do. To be honest I've now got no idea whats going on with the Halifax so am going to wait for the promised letter to see what it says but they do seem to take a while to write back. Will let you know but don't hold your breath - you'll be a blue poppy! I'll get my coat.... :rotfl:

Blooming freezing here tonight so am glad I'm not working early tomorrow morning as I think it'll be icy first thing. Still not feeling 100%, am very tired but got enough energy to go to work.
I entered a competition that was on one of OH's microwave burgers, first prize is a car which I was going for of course and second prize is a Ferrari Driving Experience which I won much to my surprise and consternation - the consternation is because I can't drive :rotfl:. Turns out I could donate it to someone else in the family or else at the point of exchange [its a voucher] I can choose a different activity which I might do. Its very nice to win something though .
Listed a few books on Amazon tonight and sold a childrens book I've had listed for ages. Had quite a few sales after a quiet January.
Off to bed soon to snuggle under the duvet. Keep warm everyone x0 -
Oh dear had a bit of a crash and burn experience so not been around much. Been soooooooo tired and lethargic I was beginning to get a bit worried. I'm not one for leaping out of bed of a morning but it was taking so much effort I thought I was reverting to being a teenager
. Having spoken to a couple of other folk who have had this lurgy they said it affected them the same way so that reassured me a bit. I've just coasted along doing the bare minimum really - next to no housework, hardly any cooking from scratch apart from soups, not chased anything up that needs doing, not invited anyone round cos its such a mess and I can't be bothered. Not like me at all.
Getting a bit of my mojo back this weekend and have reduced the clothes to be washed mountain to a molehill - did clear it at one point then OH snuck in some jeans  - why do men do that? Been a sunny day so got most of it dried outside and the rest is draped in layers on the drier - we don't have a TD.
Am thinking about doing things again which is a step closer to actually getting them done so am hopeful I'm on the mend.
Trying to take it easy as well and get plenty rest so am off to have a bit of carrot cake and a cup of tea - got to keep my energy levels up.
Moan over and normal service will hopefully be resumed soon - might even have the energy to ring the Halifax this coming week.
Have a good week Teapot x0 -
Hiya teapot (or should that be Kevin??
) sorry you're feeling under the weather, although your 'coasting along' & doing the bare minimum sounds like what I do most of the time, but there again I'm just a lazy moo!!
Hopefully that is you on the mend now, it's awful when being ill just drags on & on.
Get well soon'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Thanks PP, felt a bit better today and did more washing, went to Mr A and cooked one pot mince & tatties for OH and veg curry for me, caught up on some paperwork and then felt very, very tired
so had a snooze in the chair and woke up with a sore neck - am turning into my parents . Think I'd better still try and pace myself a bit.
BTW wouldn't like to give the impression that I'm normally a dynamo round the house 'cos I'm not but I usually manage a wee bit more than I have lately.

Lol at your post
Definitely sounds like you need to take it easy for a bit longer though, give yourself enough time to recover completely.
I'm staying in & eating HM soup today ~ it's absolutely wild here & I have no wish to be thrown about by the wind ~ hibernation is the best option I think'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Hiya teapot, hope you're feeling better
Have you felt up to contacting the H@lifax yet?? I've been having fun & games with making an online OP todayFirst of all tried to make an OP from a non-H@lifax account (have done this before & it was fine) but the payment was rejected. Decided to transfer the money to my H@lifax Reward account first & that worked fine, but when I tried to then make the OP from Reward to Mortgage (via the 'payment' option that I've been using for the last 3 months) it said "Your recipient's account does not accept payments through the Faster Payments Service. Please click confirm if you're happy to process as a Bacs payment" Wasn't sure, but decided to go ahead with this & it then came up with "money will reach the recipient's account within the next 4 working days". That's rubbish  it usually shows up OPs the next day (apart from on a weekend) but now I have to wait 4 working days?!
Sorry for the rantbut it will be interesting to hear if you have the same experience & if the H@lifax have changed their systems to make it harder to make online OPs. As if they would do that, eh?!

Hangs head in shame - no I haven't been in touch with them yet, my loins are not yet up to being girded in preparation ooer. That all sounds strange about your OPing experience. Its a few weeks now since I did an online OP but it went through as usual.
I did notice they are fiddling with the online bit of the mortgage account and have put new info in there rather than the figures which they used to have. They've also got the info in there twice. Don't suppose that this would have anything to do with it - maybe they are fiddling behind the scenes.
It seems since Lloyds too over things keep changing - for a while you had to fill in a form to pay in or withdraw in branch but they've stopped that again and gone back to the old system. How annoying that you'll have to wait all that time for it to show up - thats nearly a week including the weekend.
Wonder if anyone else is having problems?0 -
Sounds like you're still a bit under the weather ~ have you been to see the Dr. or are you just waiting for it to run it's course?? Hope you feel better sooner rather than later
Well the plot thickens with the H@lifax!! They are definitely fiddling behind the scenes ~ checked online this morning & my mortgage balance has gone UP!! No money has been taken out of the Reward account yet either  Very confusing!!
I'll check tomorrow & keep you updated, just in case your loins start feeling the urge to be girded, lol!!'A watched potato will never chit'...0
