Hi Guys, I'm wondering if anyone can help me find cheap deals for driving Route 66 next year with a friend, for approx 3 weeks (from 12th/13th Sept to 1st/2nd Oct 2006).
I want to fly from Aberdeen to Chicago, then LA to Aberdeen. I've raked the websites and the best deals I can find are Ryanair Aberdeen to Dublin, Aer Lingus Dublin to Chicago, Aer Lingus LA to Dublin and Ryanair Dublin to Aberdeen. Cost Approx £350. Which I think is great and would prob be difficult to beat.
However, we are finding it difficult to get cheap care hire. We want to rent a CONVERTIBLE for approx THREE WEEKS driving from CHICAGO to LA. The cost goes up when we want to add in an additional driver (we will take in turns to drive) and most places add on $500 for one way drop off fees. We are both female, over 25 (just!) and have clean licences. Can anyone help??
Also, if anyone has tips on where to stop off and stay or eat along the way please let me know!!0 -
The one way thing might be an issue but try US Car Hire
Also it more likely it's the pick up in one state and drop off in other that hikes up the price. Check out the above website they've also got a phone number listed 01244 881743 and online help is available on the website too.0 -
