Help needed!!

After days of searching I have today decided to go to Sharm el Sheikh with my husband and 14 yrs old son for 1 week from the 4th December. We have never been to Egypt before and I had problems finding a flight from Bristol(we live in Wales) together with a really nice hotel- all for a good price. So I decided to book independantly and after checking on Opodo that the 5* Grand Rotana Hotel was available for that week (£421 =tax for 1 room) I went ahead and booked and paid for the the flights with XL.com (3x £161). Then to my horror when I tried to pay on Opodo they are saying there is a broblem booking the hotel so now I am stuck! Do you have any ideas of any other companies that may have availablity at this hotel or any other hotels of a similar standard (I Like the Hyatt Regency but it worked out more expensive when booked separate) I also e-mailed the hotel 2 days ago to check how much they charged to book direct but they haven't replied.
any suggestions will be much appreciated.

we are looking to get away over christmas new year time, are free to travel evening 21/12/05 return by 3/1/06 any variations ie 11 days 10 days 7 days whatever just want warm to hot cheap as possible prefer hotel rather than self catering but will consider all . any advice or assistance appreciated. forgot to say any midlands airport for departure. thanks pip /mike

Canaries will be warmest & dearest! If you compromise & look at, say Costa Del Sol (temps 15-18 degrees) it will be cheaper.

If we say, looked at Half-Board-do you have an approximate max. budget per person for, say s 3* Hotel (if you give me a guide on say 10 nights).

If you'd look at Luton Airport it might make a big difference to the cost. I am on-line till 10-30am today then back on after 4pm-either post here or PM me.

Thanks both for your suggestions..gave them a try but was unable to book just the hotel...anyway panic over as I have booked the Grand Rotana Hotel via Hotel.com for $105 per night. Just hope it all goes to plan.

1-All airports you can fly from Any midlands
2-Duration 7 nights
3-1st & last dates to leave the UK 22.12.05 evening
4-Are night flights acceptable ? Yes
5-Party size & kids ages 3 adults 2 kids 16 and 14
6-Board basis you require any cheapest
7-Type of resort, Los Cristianos or any other tenerife
8-Any resorts/countries you WOULD NOT go to Tenerife only
9-Any other neccesary factors, ie must have kids
10-Prices required by what day/time? ASAP need to book holidays
club, pool, be within 'x' metres from sea...etc
11-Max. budget FOR THE WHOLE PARTY!!! Now cheapest but upto 1500

Tall order I know, but am sure you will do your best.

luton would not be a option sorry, mike says what sort of prices are we talking about for sharm el sheikh for a wk or ten days, 450 each is my limit i am affraid do i stand any chance !! i dont even mind a nice little village or town in france!i know it is a lot of work for you but any thing you can find for us to consider will b great. costas we dont mind but would like to fly back on the 2nd so that we could enjoy the new yr.
