Does any travel agents even read this thread? I haven't got any responses whatsoever to my previous request.

Hi I would be grateful if anyone can find the following

    1-Manchester, or any north west
    2-21-28 days
3-any dates after April 2007 to the end of 2007
    4-yes
    5-2 adults
6-self catering (but would consider others if cheap)
    7-Florida
    8-Just Florida wanted
9-Pool and be nearish to parks. Must be at least 3* or more.
    10-asap but not urgent
11-Max. budget £600 each (£1200 in total) or as cheap as possible if this is unrealistic.

    Thanks

Most of the quotes on here are not done by travel agents but by people like myself and Saveapenny amongst others. We spend a great deal of time and effort finding deals for people like yourself but we to have lives that dont revolve around doing this and being here 24/7,so a little patience wouldnt go amiss.Things have been quiet as i have been away on holiday myself and Saveapenny is in hospital.

And the ones on here do try and help, when time permits.
I also resent, being used as a price hunter.
To be told "I can book it myself, for £5 less"

Go for it,and I hope Easy Jet etc, dont cancel flights.Because you will be stuck !! and out of pocket.

Sloppy, sorry to hear Sava is in hospital, pass my regards if you should speak.
    Keep up the good work.

Sorry I didn't mean to come off sounding snarky. It's just the first post of this thread made it seem like there are travel agents in this thread ready to help you out as long as you give them custom by booking the cheap deal (or price matching a current offer) they found through them.

But reading it again it doesn't actually specifiy that so I'm in the wrong. All though, thinking about it, wouldn't that be a good thing to have? A thread much like this one where people post their requirements or a deal and a travel agent, looking for a commission, PM's them with a good "moneysaving" offer.

Anyways cheers sloppychops for finding that and helping me out.

PS @barron, what do you mean by:
"Go for it,and I hope Easy Jet etc, dont cancel flights.Because you will be stuck !! and out of pocket."

Wouldn't it be covered against the new compensation rules and/or travel insurance in such a case?

    Hi dalore,

Wasn't aimed at you in person, just general.
    Sorry if offended

Explain,If you book all yourself ie,flight, accom etc. Then you are not covered by ATOL.
Compensation from airlines is notorious and will not cover your extra expense if you are stuck somewhere for 2 days.
Easy Jet cancelled alot of flights recently, your travel insurance wont pay for extra flights at time of departure.

One call to an ATOL agent who booked your itenary, would have resulted in a flight home, sooner than others who didnt.

Also, lately some tour ops have gone under,if they were ATOL,then you have the assurance given.
So,if booking yourself. always use an ATOL Bonded Tour OP or Agent.
And make sure they have Trust Fund, that way your monies will not go down with the company.

Another way is too book on CC,but I have heard(on the vine) this may be changing.(not confirmed).

Its roughly the same as the hamper firm ,that went down!!

    Happy Hols

    Hi

Want to go do Disney in Florida next year

Depart from Glasgow end June (29th onwards)
    2 weeks
    2 adults one child (10)

Looking at the flyglobespan site we can go for £2578.44 for their premium economy. 34" pitch so I gather - has anyone ever used them?
This includes a 3 bed villa with private pool so seems bloody amazing

    But....

Virgin fly from Glasgow for the first time next year and I fancy giving them a try. Their flights - on the Saturday (30th) for the Premium economy come in at £3077.

That is a huge difference with no accomodation.

    Can anyone do better?
We all evolve - get on with it
