A friend is looking to go to Switzerland on the great train journey - the Lakes of Switzerland. Going on the 11th aug for 10 days. Best price she has is from Kuoni at £859 per person from Heathrow.

Is there any way to get this cheaper - also she would prefer Manchester airport.

looking for a holiday to thailand in january for 2, preferably not phuket but otherwise open to suggestions/dates, would prefer to be away on 12/1 but not willing to pay too much extra if cheaper to go a bit later.
For my mums 60th, meeting up with relatives from australia, all adults.

Please could someone kindly help me out as I have just booked a family xmas pressie of flights to Ciampino, Rome for a bargain price of £100.96!!! - However I am a regular reader of the DFW board and am really getting know where making silly impulse (even though cheap) buys like this. I would therefore be soooooooo grateful if someone could advise me as to the cheapest but nicest hotels around Ciampino airport from 11th Jan 07 to 16th Jan 07.

Actually I don't even know where Ciampino Airport is in relation to the tourist bits of Rome so I'd rather be where ever the touristy bits are - is that the centre of Rome? - Oh my god - what have I done?
