    Hi XXXX,

I’ve been asked to remove a comment you made on the landlord rights story, as we have no proof that Suzy’s father is a millionaire, that he bought a house for her in Peru, or that she imposed a £15-a-day late fee on her tenant. If you leave any more comments with unsubstantiated allegations, I will have to ban you from commenting on the site.

    Many thanks,

There are lots of comments being removed. It's fun to watch :D

Now, who wants to send them the proof they need?

Surely the Argus journalists put these points to Suzy and she confirmed or denied them. Or did they just put her press release in the paper?

There's no proof that she slept in a tent either of course...

    Dear Jo,

Could I please ask if you have any evidence that Suzy Butler ever spent a night sleeping in the tent you mention in your story?

Can I please ask if you also have any evidence that Suzy Butler spent 5 months 'fighting' to evict her tenant - given in your story of the 7th August Suzy hadn't issued an eviction notice to her tenant until the 6th of August?

Thank you for your time and attention.

    Kind Regards,

Just a quick question for jo - will post a reply if I get one.

It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?

A reply then to Ms Wadsowrth suggesting she does some research? :

    Article here http://www.mortgagestrategy.co.uk/the-angel-of-the-incas-buys-a-flat/79081.article

Credited by the article to be Mr F Butler's own words:
"Where can you get a three bedroom flat with a maid's suite, 24-hour security and a Pacific view for less than a studio in Brighton? Frank Butler goes house-hunting in South America It has taken me almost 20 hours to reach Peru to help my daughter Suzy buy a home overlooking the bay in the capital, Lima. My learning curve is steep. I have 10 days in which to become a Peruvian property expert............
The buying process in Peru is similar to that in Spain. I gave him* (edit =the lawyer) a power of attorney, witnessed by a notary, to make the purchase on my behalf when the dollars were transferred out. He carried out all of the necessary checks and we had a meeting with Gigi to conclude terms.

There is no question of a mortgage in Peru"
Watch that article disappear in to the ether......along with this from the FB page

15 quid fee was highlighted by Suzy herself on the FB supporter's page, as quoted by Dopester (596)
Suzy Carlita Butler As Vicky has kindly pointed out, all the questions you shout out have been answered and I'm sorry Alan and co, but my time cannot be wasted going round and round in circles!
Like I said previously...I was hoping to relocate to Spain which is... why i extended the contract to ensure it didn't terminate whilst abroard! We were launching a charity campaign out there. Hence why I didn't issue a sec 21! TBF a months arears I understood completely. on the 2nd month I realised there was an issue and got legal advise. The section 8 is the accelarted way to get your home back. My child starts school next week. That was my priority. The contract has a clause of a £15 a day late rent fee we both abgreed upon when originally signing...do the math. I am still waiting for the deposit to be returned by the deposit scheme. I had to pay on occassion for places to stay whilst paying my mortgage with no rent being paid to me. Legal fees etc have not even been included.

I believe all this has been answered many times now. Hope it's all clear and you can now move on, realise it was all above aboard and move your frustration and obvious distrust of good people elsewhere and let us focus on trying to change the law to allow primary homeowners a speedier eviction process. 2 months in arears is fair, but then waiting months and months is not. Simple. Have a great day and thanks for your comments, hope this helps and you can make time to watch ALL the media footage, read all the articles and radio reports and my statements so you can see we have been open from the start and things were followed legally. I see from RA's post above that someone had already informed the editor of the Argus about the mortgage strategy article
  • I'm pretty sure that someone said earlier in this thread that they had already informed the editor of the Argus about the mortage strategy article

All I can hope for now is that someone legal finally loses the plot and very publically outs everything in this farce and gets her in front of a judge who then throws the book at her.

I'm getting angry again so I'm going to go and lob myself around the living room (literally just got wii back from being repaired :D )

but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!

When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.

I saw a previous newspaper article from the Argus trumpeting the return of our "wronged LL" to her home, sayng
Today Suzy Butler walked into her house in Wordsworth Street, Hove, for the first time in seven months without needing a police escort.
I giess that's what known as putting a spin on events. Nauseating IMO.

    Hi Jo,

I'm sorry to contact you in the event that you have no access to the evidence for or against the story, but having had sight of your reason for deleting an associates post on the comments section I assumed you had access to the proof that made up the story.

That is to say - "I’ve been asked to remove a comment you made on the landlord rights story, as we have no proof that Suzy’s father is a millionaire, that he bought a house for her in Peru, or that she imposed a £15-a-day late fee on her tenant. I'm sure you can see why I was confused.

Could I please have the contact information for the newsdesk?

Kind Regards and thank you for your time.
