Well it is heavy, £15 a day. An UNFAIR TERM as per that OFT pdf brochure.

The OFT also gives a better example of a fair term, and that isn't going to land the tenant with a fine of £450 to pay Suzy Butler over 30 days of late rent, or say £900 for 2 months... just a few pounds instead (£10/£20?).
To pay interest at the rate of x per centum per annum above the base minimum lending rate of [name] Bank on any rent or other money lawfully due which is in arrears for more than fourteen days after the day on which it became due.

So she still doesn't understand how an S21 works then...

Also, 24 days in June plus 31 days in July plus 11(?) days in August..

    66 x 15 = £990 plus £2470 - Deposit still equals only £2,500 NOT £4,000

    Plus, Ms Butler...

£15 a day interst to take her owed rent up to £4000 is an annual APR of ~1,116%.

So not only are you an ignorant so-and-so who pays thousands for legal advice and sounds less informed everytime you open your trap you are also a bloodsucker with the financial morals of a doorstep lender.

Like others, I wondered how the tenant allegedly owes well over 3k for a few months rent at around £1200 pcm, I assumed that Suzy had incorrectly added to it the 1k legal fees.

Now it looks like the tenant was also being clobbered by an unfair late payment fee of around £450 per month, a penalty equivalent to an additional 40% of the rent!

    Suzy Carlita Butler:

The contract has a clause of a £15 a day late rent fee we both abgreed upon when originally signing...do the math.
I recorded that direct from the page onto a feed of video-record, just to keep a record that it was admitted to the public by Suzy Butler herself on Facebook.

In case it's later deleted and could prove useful to someone.... someone who might otherwise by trying to find a way to pay this fine back along with any, supposed, rent arrears.

And just as a permanent record to another part of evidence for how Suzy Butler "I'm not ignorant" behaves as a landlord.

Suzy "The Money" Butler (Ignorant Landlord: £15 fine per day)

(Updated video to comply with request of other posters in original video who had their very reasonable responses and questions - but with the real names and identities shown in the original recording.)

Is anyone joining the Find Carmen Nobre campaign..or is that one step too far?

Is there a legal eagle who can contact her independently somehow through her public contact page to offer advice and gauge her response just to ensure she knows her rights. I think Suzy Butler is a big bully and don't like the way she has intimidated Carmen into thinking she should feel awful for being under hard times.

Bit too far for me. Suzy Butler deliberately put herself in the public eye by using the national tv and newspaper media for her own ends. Carmen has never asked for any public attention and may well wish to be left in peace. Presumably if she wanted any help or assistance in asserting her rights she could easily have stumbled upon this page or the various landlord law blog articles with a quick google search.
